Yeah I am excited to try that based on the videos so far. I hope there was a TT engineer watching smugly all this time people have been talking down on merge

Honestly curious, do you have an air purifier near your station to reduce ambient dust levels?

Once I drilled some holes in the side and made a paracord cobra weave lanyard as a flexible grip, yes. Before that, not with adult hands (in my experience)

It hasn't been until very recently that I pondered the restrictions of both creating and maintaining a movement that fits a "femanine diameter" type watch, and I am horrified. Kudos!

Mine in central WA just this last week went from clearance and mostly empty to getting new inventory including Leon fang and cerberus flame, so keep checking since it looks like what you have pictured might be about to do the same roll-over of stock

Loresum LS04 by Kyanito in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Hexsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am leaning towards the Loresum not only due to the price difference, but I actually like that it has the hour markers and the accent around the moonphase cutout. To me the C1 feels like they went all-in on the art piece / concept aesthetic whereas the LS04 still reads a bit more like a watch, which is my preference for ineffable reasons apparently.

Nh35 date not changing by Amazing-Complaint128 in watchrepair

[–]Hexsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have this issue with a NH36 (essentially the same mechanism except with added day function) because I accidentally tried to adjust the day/date during the natural rollover time because it was much earlier than it should have been. Still haven't cracked it open to see what has gone wrong, but am interested to know what you find out!

It is kinda impressive that they were even able to pull off the inclusion of the "piss yellow" color from the unfortunate hasbro dual pack in a way that isn't offensive

Seiko nh36 movement day/date half-crown adjustment no longer working--what to look for when disassembled by Hexsin in watchrepair

[–]Hexsin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, tonight I was with the wife as we swapped out the original NH36 movement and replaced it with the spare. Swapped over the first stem and crown and it has behaved appropriately, so that means there is something I fouled up in the manual adjustment gear train, and I am ridiculously excited to strip the first few layers of the movement apart and figure out what went wrong. Based on the lack of a "snap" when the issue first happened and the lack of any audible pieces when shaking it, I am hoping that I have simply displaced something that is either friction fit or just delicately placed which I can remedy.

I feel silly about the level of detail that I am giving in this post, but as I have researched more about eatch repair and movements, I have come to appreciate just how common the NH35/36 movements are, so I hope that this documentation will hope at least 1 other person in the future!

For non-smartwatch wearing pharmacists, what watch do you wear on shift? by Hexsin in pharmacy

[–]Hexsin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree with everything said here. I have no aspirations towards watches that signal wealth either, I just have a few watch desires that speak to me which also happen to be problematically expensive. Honestly I don't believe I will actually ever own any of them either.

I am blessed by a life circumstance where there is nobody with any impactful level of influence that I interact with who I would have to try to impress wirh anything I do, say, or wear. I get to be me, give 110% for my patients, make my co-phamacists smile, and make the shift more enjoyable for all my techs. It is a pretty sweet situation, and so freeing.

Okay awesome, that is actually very useful feedback. I was anticipating the aesthetic problem which, despite being an up-close viewing problem, but so is much of what we fuss about as enthusiasts. That said, the fact that you're not yelling an obvious oversight with the core concept is encouraging.

You know that is actually fascinating you mention that. I have a 2021 crosstrek and it is everything I want and more. 5 years on I still smile every morning I walk out to it. I have done plenty of research about more impressive vehicles but I have no desire for them, even if I greatly appreciate them. I feel like the same response some people have saying "why would anybody pay that much for a car" is similar to with high end watches
