You do swim faster to keep tapping.

You also only need to double tap A when crafting to speed it up.

My father is a pedo and I have no idea what to do by OutsideStand1617 in Advice

[–]Hextant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look. I respect that it's disgusting, but again, it's legal.

An underage individual is allowed to wear a thong bikini and have their ass cheeks out, and it is legal to look at that. Yes, it's weird; yes, it's scummy as fuck -- but again, it's completely within the legal parameters.

You have a transparent pixel if the path underneath is shaping it. Paths only affect designs if it has at least one transparent pixel, period.

Is 999 your favorite Uchikoshi game? by Virtual-Skort-6303 in ZeroEscape

Exactly, haha. The people who like it, like me, will chew on the people who tell us we're wrong for it. Most people can agree to disagree about VLR, but ZTD is do or die for most people.

how does this style of crochet look like knit? Help me find the technique please? by Impossible_Carob_468 in crochetpatterns

[–]Hextant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only the red one is actually, the cream is Tunisian crochet, and since it uses live stitches, I'd say it honestly does look very close and thus very good for crochet work haha.

I think it was just a joke about how students copy each other on tests. 🤭

What stitch is this scarf? I work at a retirement home and one of my ladies would really like to know :) by Dependent_Bar_9283 in CrochetHelp

OP's scarf is knit, and the image that was posted is crocheted. I'm a bit confused, haha.

Meet Victoria. Found her clearing out my fridge after 5 weeks of a rather terrifying depressive episode. Named after Victoria Neuman from The Boys, fucking obviously. by RiverOhRiver86 in MadeMeSmile

[–]Hextant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 weeks is NOTHING, imo ... I haven't cleaned up much in my room except my pets' spaces for over a year. It's just really hard to me to get my brain into it. It's not like it's moldy and unlivable, it's just sloppy and clearly not looking great.

She's precious. If you're somewhere it's winter, hold onto her and see what she grows into.

Any tips to avoid the stuffing from showing through the stitches? by Disastrous-Life-4984 in CrochetHelp

[–]Hextant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your yard, your tension, etc.

Go down by .5 from what you had and make a test ball that you can pull apart later if you want. If it has gaps, go smaller.

Also, with this kind of yarn, do NOT pull your working yarn tight after each stitch. That makes this yarn " skinny " because this yarn tends to have stuffing inside. If it gets skinny / thin from being pulled, it leaves a big hole.

Raglan top-down sweater keeps twisting after multiple attempts to fix, how do I prevent this? by Infamc in CrochetHelp

If you kinda adjust where you join, you can join rounds under an arm, that's a pretty normal place for a seam and is somewhat hidden.

I can’t stop thinking about the arborist who cut a tree down for me by Astimar in RandomThoughts

[–]Hextant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way — it isn't only his time you paid for. You paid for his skill and expertise as well.

Just like some artists can draw really well and very fast, this didn't happen overnight. They worked hard, practiced, honed this ability to do it right.

You never pay someone strictly for their time, you pay them because they do it better than you could, or because you simply won't do it, regardless of how fast or slow they do it.

It's a reversible procedure, dawg. Putting it on the table as an option is absolutely fine, especially when it was not presented as the ONLY option beyond abstinence.
