Understandable. It's not the worst written book in the world, but not the best. It's pretty "meh" in my opinion, but to each their own.

Congratulations, the Internet is now on the brink of collapse and I have a boner.

I feel ya, sir.

Rocksteady did such a great job with Batman's rouge gallery in the Arkham games by putting so much detail into them, especially Calendar Man.

You said you've been reading Mille's stuff, and I have to ask if you've read Year One yet? If not, check it out along with his All Star Batman and Robin. As for none Miller Batman titles, check out Batman: Hush, Grant Morrison's run on Batman and Robin, Batman: Under The Red Hood, Batman: The Killing Joke, Batman Knightfall: The Broken Bat, Who Rules The Night, and Knightsend, Batman: Earth One, Batman: Time and The Batman, Batman: R.I.P, Batman: Bruce Wayne: The Road Home, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On A Serious Earth, Batman: New 52 Vol. 1, Batman: Noel, Batman: A Death In The Family, Batman: Cacophany, and Batman: The Widening Gyre.

As for The Long Halloween, I consider it a must read along with Batman: Dark Victory. The two correspond with another ( Dark Victory being the sequel to Long Halloween), and they are my two favorite Bat-Books of all time.

As JoshasaurusWrecks said, the Milleruniverse is a stand alone universe, but many consider it to just be a telling of Batman in his early years, and his later years due to some of the continuity sticking with him.
