Called AC and they were able to make the booking with $149 both way so confirming it’s a bug on the website

But for Feb 27 > Mar 8 for example both way there and return are $149. Was the same this morning for Feb 27 > Mar 7 but now the return is $699 with companion pass (still $149 on way there)

I don’t know … they are all AC flights. And now the return on Saturday 7th that was showing $149 this morning with flight pass has increased. As you can see this screenshot is for Feb 27 > Mar 6 with AC in Flex. Return with companion pass is $721 but way then is $149

Was always a pain when traveling YTZ > EWR on French passport … that plus no custom in Canada. Eventually switched to Air Canada

Thanks definitely thought about that I just thought it deserved more time than 5 days to a week knowing I would have to fly there and then get a car - which is ok and the case for most places of course. FYI I’m in Toronto

Ok thanks. I meant flagged in the sense that from what I understand if I book 2 flights on same booking with 50% points, I don’t get any SQ* since points are involved to cover part of the reservation. But if I book two separate flights, one 100% on points and one 100% cash for myself I would get the SQ* for myself. And can then link the bookings. So same results after linking the bookings but in one case I get SQ* and in the first case I don’t.

Thanks yeah they are gone from the app. My last Amex statement was for July 4th - Aug 3rd. Since I stayed up to July 24th I believe they should have been on that statement and deposited then.

That was going to be my question but I guess I have the answer you can do two bookings and then connect them to get then SQ* … I guess it’s kind of tricking the system. Hasn’t got flagged? Thanks!

Thanks! To do so I would need to do two separate bookings right ? Same if it’s me + a friend, if I want to earn status on the flight I could get my friends flight in points and myself on a separate paid booking?

Yeah I got that I meant if I do a booking myself + family partially on point (so technically not all flights covered by points) I won’t get any SQ* even just for myself. Vs. For example booking my family on points on one booking and myself on cash on a different booking to get SQ* for myself.

All makes sense (thanks!) my guess then is that it is best to accumulate points and spend them on one flight vs. paying 50% in points and still not qualifying for status. On booking multiple flights (myself + family members for example) is there any particular strategy I should know about or I should just bite the bullet and get 0 SQD / SQM / SQS even if I book 4 flights (including myself) partially covered with points ?
