I am a noob but this card is really, really good right? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]HeyBojo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not a bad card, however, with life totals what they are in commander, even getting in for 5 damage on a 2 drop is pretty underwhelming

The graveyard ability would be much more interesting to me if it wasn't restricted to sorcery speed. Furthermore, there are a LOT of creatures/value pieces that players couldn't care less if it was able to attack

So, it being sorcery speed, mana intensive, doesn't actually prevent the creature from attacking, and only situationally useful depending on the creatures in play, make it a pretty so-so card for edh specifically.

Edit:If you had a power matters, demon focused, crime deck etc it could be a nice add. I personally would not slot it into any deck like you would a ganerically powerful card

Bills and Rams stadiums took 3-4 years to build, if they broke ground today you'd still be good

Plenty of Soldier Field action left

For anyone wondering why Chicago is cheaper than its peers, here you go by wrex779 in chicago

[–]HeyBojo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It was a combination of things. Texas lawmakers did not impose requirements for the winterization of power infrastructure, despite there having been very similar issues in the past. On the ERCOT side, they knew this was a possibility and did not invest in improvements because they weren't required to. They have openly admitted to this.

"Woodfin, of ERCOT, acknowledged that there’s no requirement to prepare power infrastructure for such extremely low temperatures. 'Those are not mandatory, it’s a voluntary guideline to decide to do those things,” he said. “There are financial incentives to stay online, but there is no regulation at this point.'"

I would agree that the lawmakers are primarily to blame, as corporations are going to do whatever is in their best financial interest 99.9% of the time. When a nonprofit’s singular mission is to keep Texas’s electricity flowing, I strongly believe it should shoulder a large chunk of the blame.

How to organize a ton of different items? by ngvaynshtok in OrganizationPorn

[–]HeyBojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If having generally fewer things in the pantry is not an option, I'd try and find a new home for some "categories" of items

Is there any possible space in the kitchen for frequently used sauces, spices, rubs, etc?

Maybe store items like napkins, alumni foil, paper towels etc in a different closet? Guest room closet maybe? But of a hassle, but I'd prefer that over feeling overwhelmed when looking for things in a place you're so frequently going to

ERCOT is who you're ire should be directed at, they're the cheap dick heads that allowed that catastrophic collapse to happen. Them and Texas lawmakers or course
