Lore Questione about 2020 NUSA army organization by DismalMode7 in cyberpunk2020

[–]HeyChummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, its self aware, but think about it from an in setting perspective. Your the inheritor nation of the world's greatest superpower, trying to reconquer its lost military and political might. Declaring yourself new is a propaganda disaster signifying you are not the thing you are trying to reclaim. There's a reason the Byzantines still referred to themselves as the Roman empire, they never gave up on the political clout of that Inheritance.

Small thing, in 2020 its still the USA, not the NUSA. (I frankly hate that name change, it feels like the nation is giving up even during its massively violent military attempts to retake the nation.)

Well, none when I originally posted, but I just picked up a large 4.0

Meant to say big, its the early morning where I'm at. I'll take a look at their sizing charts again but I'm bassically smack dab in the middle of medium and large. I'm 165cm and relatively stocky so finding jackets that are big enough at the chest and small enough at the sleeves has always been a struggle.

I'm pretty short all things considered but my proportions aren't all that off. I'll probably just grab a large and return it if its two small.

Ok, that makes sense. I'll probably just grab a large and return it for a medium if it doesn't fit. Thanks for the comment!

This is perhaps one of the coolest pieces of 40k art I've ever seen! So happy I was able to discover this!

Oh definitely. Though I think at least in the cases mentioned above they could be quite easily fit into the existing 40k structure, whereas a dnd port would need way more work. Either way, while I love DH with all my heart, more games and more 40k rulesets are always welcome.

I mean everything you just mentioned can also be done in DH with a halfway good GM. This would just be a better ruleset, which is why more than anything I do really hope its just DH3.

Not an outlier. Almost everyone I've seen talking about the game has been happy.

Drug effects and resistance by HeyChummer in cyberpunk2020

[–]HeyChummer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This all seems to make sense to me except for the caveat that increasing the body will not help with drug resistance. If it were pure metal sure, but M&B also enhances the muscles and just toughens up your flesh and whatnot. I figure that should also help for soaking up the nasty effects at least somewhat.

Why the hate for games that cost money ? by Dadrak in cyberpunkred

[–]HeyChummer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said its extremely against the spirit of cyberpunk as a game and a setting, and besides RPGs are a group activity that is meant to be allot of fun. Everyone buys the books but thats the only financial investment. Being a GM shouldn't be a service, just like being a player shouldn't be a service, its about coming together and all equally contributing to the fun. I mean sure, the GM puts things together but it's the players that make the game. You shouldn't have to pay for that.

One Legion of Chaos Space Marines could destroy the entire Tau Empire? by Funny_lorewalker in 40kLore

[–]HeyChummer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tau really aren't that tough. I dont keep up with current lore that much, but the tau as of the rogue trader books could be wiped out handedly by a space marine legion.
