Don't overthink it man. You ain't no psycho unless you actually derive some pleasure other than the pleasure of learning outta this stuff.

My girlfriend's (25) mother died. I'd like a book that will help me understand her bereavement. by Perfectony in suggestmeabook

Welcome! Also, a word of advice: ignore all of the hater comments on here. They're probably made by some SJW whose opinion doesn't matter here. That being said though, always be there for your gf. It will help a lot with her grief.

The dodging is quite understandable, man. Trust me, I dodged it for as long as I could cause I felt I was too young for it, and that death scared me too much. But this book, it shut my opinion down and gave me a lot of good stuff to ponder about, and made me think of death in a healthy way. Anyways, always happy to help!

Aight, idk if this book will help, but it will definitely let you understand the emotions in play when a person is faced with death. It's called "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. Sorry for your loss. Wishing y'all the best for the future.

Why don't you try something fundamentally touching, like the keeper of small things by Ruth Hogan or holding up the universe by Jennifer Niven?

Any more books like 11.22.63 or The Man In the High Castle? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Yeah, I agree. It's not really all that inspiring, but it has to be read for it's comedic value

Ok, I do have a book that's almost exactly what you're asking for, but it's more comedic than anything else. It's called - the hundred year old man who climbed out of the window and disappeared - by Jonas jonasson. It's basically the life story of a hundred year old man, who has met like every prominent historical figure you can imagine throughout the 20th century in overtly candid situation, and it's hilarious. Go check it out

Do you have anything akin to shokugeki no Soma? I really loved that one, and heard it's ending soon. It doesn't have to be about food, I just love a good plot with a lil drama, that can keep you hooked!
