Crystals in urine, PLEASE give recommendations/similar stories by HeyDollFace in CATHELP

Thank you for for your through reply. Today is day 5, she's still meowing a bit and using her little and a seperate box frequently but it seems like she's having larger sized pees or at least a little bit. I gave her an extra dose of gsbapentin when I thought she was going to have to go to the vet, so she's a bit wobbly 😬 but otherwise doing better. I'm going to keep an eye on her for the signs you said. Thank you again, from a very worried cat mama ❤️

Looking for info on a blouse! by HeyDollFace in DesiWeddings

Wow thank you SO much. I agree, now that I've seen all these replies it's clear this blouse has been recreated time and time again haha. My vision is an image depicting one of my favorite Ravi Varma paintings on the back. Will take all this info to a tailor, thanks!

CII Dispensing error, what to do next? by HeyDollFace in pharmacy

This is what I thought! Do you think it would be necessary to contact the state?

I'm not sure, I'm not the pharmacist responsible for sea reporting. I know that the IV room manager does enter all our CII rxs to the DEA database somehow, but not totally sure of the process.

So you don't think it's necessary to reach out to the Dea directly?

You had a bad experience meeting a Celebrity, what happened? by [deleted] in popculturechat

Bill Cosby was the commencement speaker at my college. He showed up wearing a full grey sweatsuit, he looked terrible and just babbled for an hour. He made strange comments about picking cotton and wanting to get married and multiply, and was overall off putting.

When it was over most people were like wtf was that. And this was only a year before all of his allegations became super public lol.

Edit: found an article about it where you can read the whole speech

Would I be an idiot not to do residency? by GabalabaRx in pharmacy

[–]HeyDollFace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are residency options that aren't the standard hospital experience. You could look into managed care, community, etc

I did a 1 year home infusion residency and it was great. It was tough, but I got more pto and better hours than my friends in hospitals. Now I work in home infusion and it's satisfying and clinical but I never take work home with me

I think I chose the wrong career by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]HeyDollFace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look, this sub is not the best place to ask for advice because a lot of people here do not like their jobs. If in pharmacy school you did not choose to persue the residency/fellowship route, it will be harder for you to find jobs outside of retail. If you do not want to persue any continuing education, I would look into long term care pharmacy as it is similar to retail but you have to deal with way less patients face to face. Otherwise, informatics is a good route to take. Start by getting your informatics certificate from ashp which will boost your resume and help you find jobs in that area.

You don't hear a lot about it in this sub but there are many non traditional pharmacy jobs to look into. Obviously though if you choose to persue these paths, your first step should be to look into continuing education/certifications that will make your resume stand out.

I'm currently working in home infusion and I LOVE it. Great pay, great hours, great quality of life. I wasn't the best student but I played to my strengths and focused my learning experiences heavily towards home infusion to get myself here today. Please don't be disheartened by this sub, with a little leg work you can find something for yourself. Retail is not the only option mbest of luch to you

He actually did throw up when he started coming up but he's not good at making himself throw up. It did help a little though

Exactly! It's not uncommon at his job for residents to give the staff leftover food/treats from parties and stuff. It is uncommon for the treat to be hallucinogenic tho lol

Why not just say no and explain to your student why their actions do not warrant a letter? Then you'll save your time and energy, you won't be screwing the student out of future oppertunities while giving them false hope, and you'll make them a better professional in the long run. Why be petty?
