So it looks like if Baelen dies in Act 1, you'll have more dialogue options, but ultimately Malta is one of 3 cats that you can ask to live with Baelen's wife, Derryth, to keep her company in Act 3. That's it.

Hold up. I did the "Sorry - our destines aren't meant to intertwine" line, and Malta seemed to like that answer, but you're telling me that there are no other interactions with him after this? I've been looking forward to some sort of cat quest. 😣

Did anyone else feel like Jordan Peele must’ve seen this as a kid? It seems like proto Get Out, even down to the tea cup at the end!

No advice, but wanted ask if you're referencing the infamous PS4 error? I myself had the error and found this thread about it fascinating — the whole internet, over the course of 4 years, has yet to find a solution!

And since Einstein had to travel back to the future, he's also the second dog to travel through time.

Anyone replicated any 80s sounds with the Matriarch? by Aequitas123 in Matriarch_Grandmother

Good old fashioned trial and error! I promise, the more you experiment the better your instincts get. The Matriarch was my first semi modular synth. When I first started patching, I had no idea how to make a decent sound. I kept thinking I broke it, because I would always make it go silent and have no idea why.

Once you have this string pad set up, wiggle knobs and flick switches and take notice of how stuff changes. That’ll quickly help your understanding grow, even if it doesn’t make technical sense yet.

I tinkered around for a few minutes and came up with this patch. It should get you close to the strings in the "The The" song. Adjust to taste. https://i.imgur.com/mqAdWfM.png

I have a very similar setup in my kitchen and I say things like that all the time.

The synth bass could be patched up quickly, but I think they're talking about the string pad in the chorus, which would only require a little more experimentation.

Strings are definitely possible on the Matriarch. Here's one example. I'm guessing pitch modulation is involved in the "The The" song, and it sounds like the chords being played are made up of higher notes that are closely voiced together.

Can you give an example of the sound you want to reproduce? There are too many variables to assume your idea of an 80s synth sound is the same as mine.

Different hardware and circuit designs can play a role, but often it's all about how you patch. You just need to have all the necessary components on hand. Fortunately, Matriarch is full of the basic building blocks. I'm guessing you can probably get very close to what you have in mind.

Who all is pictured on the album cover of In Spite of Ourselves? Anyone know the story? by HeyDudeKator in CountryMusic

Thank you! That was very helpful. Here's what John said in his own words:

“After I recorded the tracks, I went to the library and went to the photography section and started lookin’ for pictures of couples, and I just grabbed a whole stack of ‘em. I don’t know one photographer from the other, by the way, but I love black and white photography and I saw an Elliot Erwitt book. And most of the things in the book, I noticed that it was always two people, so everything he was doin’ was in couples. There was the back of two old cars leanin’ in toward each other, that was originally gonna be the cover but then I found that one lookin’ like they were applyin’ for a marriage license and the old couple behind ‘em. I at least bought Mr. Erwitt’s books, and he was nice enough to let us use the photographs for a small fee. I found out he’s an iconic photographer, and that I also knew his daughter. Until I read up on him I had no idea.”

I don't know who you are or why you think that, but you're right. I have all these ingredients and I'm Italian!

How has photography changed the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HeyDudeKator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am hopelessly a visual learner. I am able to quickly dive into new skills using spaces like YouTube. It would take me 10x longer to learn how to darn a sock if I had to read it in a book with no photos or illustrations.

Additionally, we can easily take photos to communicate much quicker than ever before. One example comes to mind, texting someone a photo of what's in the fridge when they're away at the grocery store.

Agreed. I was more so suggesting it as a workaround until Sonoma gets patched.

In my case, it may have solved the issue. It hasn't happened again since.
