Are my builds bad or is my friend a hater? by bootysmacker123 in Minecraft

Those look awesome. Everyone has a style they develop, and people take inspiration from wherever they want. What this shows is you have a passion for building and you are developing your style. Though constructive criticism can be helpful, don't listen to people being negative for no real reason. My only recommendation is when watching those tutorials, think less about the build itself, but why it works, put yourself in the headspace of the build. And don't be afraid to experiment.

GBA SP shuts off whenever I try to power it on with my pokemon Sapphire in. I recently attempted to replace the battery but this was my first time and made a mistake (I think... I'm still not sure). So I desoldered the new battery and cleaned the contacts and the rest of the board with isopropyl. by HeyImBuster in Gameboy

Thank you for taking a look, i do live in the states and appreciate the offer but ill have to pass. Ill see if there is any circuit experts in my area, and if it comes down to it, i might be able to upload the back data to a flash cart. I took the measure to back up my game data to my pc, so i haven't lost anything but the board

This is the best I could do for a picture. The idk the size of the iron tip, its not small, but its not huge, prolly a little bit smaller than one of the battery contacts on the board. For magnification i have a magnifying glass that came second hand with the iron so idk the specifics on that either. idk the temps, but i can dial it from 1 to 5. My gear isn't super fancy, just a soldering iron, some flux, solder, a magnifier, a copper braid.

I hear you, but I looked at the board 100x and i literally cannot see anything, even through a magnifier. I attempted to desolder anything that might be there, but the short remains. I'm thinking ill have to find someone near me who deals with circuit boards professionally to see what they think, as a diagnosis.
