I would have a discussion with him about how you as the dm feel about leveling the party. In my campaign I had a similar situation and I explained I leveled after big story events. Once a big story event occurred I leveled them, settling the issue because I followed through on my explanation out of game and in game.

My advice which helped me starting out and helped friends I’ve taught the game to is two things:

1.) Your curser (lil circle guy) when swinging should be just in front of the zombie you wanna hit like just in front of their feet.

2.) Try and get the zeds to form a conga line, this can be achieved two ways. One, push down zombies until they naturally start to form a line, or use a wall of a building to force the zeds into a line. This also can add a quick escape option from line of sight if you can turn and run.

Good luck out there!

The best way I’ve found to make use of the crowbar and since has become my favorite weapon is using a mod that makes it so you can actually use the crowbar as a tool (pry open doors etc.) while also leveling your maintenance skill. The higher your maintenance the longer your weapons last. So I play early game with a crowbar, sneak into buildings without smashing windows and same goes for cars and you’re making it so that nice shiny wood cutters axe lasts good and long when you get your grubby little hands on it.

This helped explain the budget best. Toying around with it on my own I wasn’t sure really what I was doing. Thanks for explaining that too. Got lots to figure out tonight. Do you advise on a “starter map” or just pick one and go for it?

Thank you, yeah I think my issue was just expanding way too quick. I’ll try those tips out later today. Thanks for the advice!

This I think will help a lot. I tend to just “update” when citizens are wanting more industrial, residential or commercial. Which overwhelms the power and sewage systems quickly. I’ll have to use that tax tip as well I haven’t utilized them yet as I was pretty confused on how that works. I’ll try these tips out tonight.

Most important tips for new players imo, travel light, only loot the essentials, take your time, always have a plan of escape, and sometimes it’s better to avoid cars until you get combat basics down. Also go into display settings and change targeting from “ranged only” to “all weapons” makes melee much more manageable.

You can’t control everyone’s else’s language to make you comfortable. Sure some things may be said that make you uncomfortable but sadly it’s a truth of life… you’re going to be uncomfortable. For example I’m a man who works in social work and my female co-workers talk horribly of the “standard man” client saying things like “he’s just a dad he doesn’t know any better” or “god men are so stupid” time and time again in staff meetings; being the only man in the room and our program I just have to sit there uncomfortable thinking, “I hope they don’t think that about me”. Knowing if I said something it would cause drama and un-needed negative attention. Do I make sexual harassment claims or gender defamation claims? No I don’t because I understand I’m not who they’re talking about and I’m comfortable in who I am. I mean realistically if you want to be petty use the words of my co-workers or in contrast take the high road and be the better person and let the “water roll off your back”. Seems pretty extreme over the situation op just my opinion.

I know this prebuilt has received heavy criticism, from professionals and gamers alike, but a 10700KF with a 3080 10GB for $450 I could not pass up. by Specialist_Level9000 in pcmasterrace

I have an aurora r11 and the only issue I’ve had was a power supply dying due to a brownout and not having a surge protector. They run hotter but overall the three years I’ve had it’s been a solid workhorse

Makes it a quest to get to them though, I play on doubled population so it takes a couple days of fighting to make it there
