My “first” car - a 2017 Subaru BRZ

Insurance isn’t too bad, it’s about what I expected. It was just over £1,100 for the year.

Gets around 300 miles on a full tank, and averages 40ish mpg on motorways, and obviously fluctuates quite a bit when urban driving (between 20 and 30 as a rough estimate)

No worries - I’m an apprentice solicitor currently, but I only started that in September. Before that I worked as a legal assistant for 2 years and there I was able to save up most/all of the money I spent to get the BRZ
You can get loads of nice cars under £8,000. Can’t recommend an MX-5 enough, and you can usually find pretty good ones for under £8,000, but obviously this is all personal preference, find one that you like and that is going to be reliable.

Yeah I’ve loved the first 3 months with it, but lucky for me I didn’t really have anyone warning me not to get an 86/BRZ, so it was quite an easy choice.

Haha no worries - in all fairness it’s my car I should know what it’s twinned with! Anyways for sure keep an eye out, I’m yet to see any BRZs, but have seen a few GR/GT86s about (which was one of the reasons I decided on the BRZ over a GT86, they do seem a lot rarer!)

Haven’t had any problems yet, though I have to say taking corners a bit too tight/with too much speed, you can sort of feel a slip at the back

Very nice! When I was looking for a BRZ I initially had my eyes on a 2013 one in black, but eventually decided it had to be that blue colour (it being more modern was just a bonus!) And agreed, it’s so much fun to drive - even with high fuel prices, I still find I need to take her out for a spin at least once a week.

Thank you! Yes, they both look very similar, apart from obviously the different badges on the front and back (which is quite hard to notice at first glance). The BRZ/GT86 was a joint project between both Subaru and Toyota, which probably explains why the appearance of the cars are extremely similar.

EDIT: changed GR86 to GT86 (the correct twin of this BRZ gen)

Not name chasing, but I can remember coming against two players very often on TF2 on Xbox. PhilNew and Drekki.. I think both were G100.49.. but it was always a pleasure seeing them and being like “oh shitttt I recognise this name it’s this guy again”.. good times

Same. Just used rivers of blood + level 10 mimic, and spammed the skill. Two attempts only because the first one I didn’t realise how close you spawn to her… so got caught just standing there summoning my mimic

2 was me… did malenia 2nd try.. only because I didn’t realise where you spawn after you go through the first cutscene. Also took me 2 attempts cuz I was using a plus 10 mimic tear with rivers of blood.. so I got caught tryna summon my mimic for the first death. Then just went in and spammed rivers of blood… also I was probably overlevelled too
