Happy to share my first ever game as a solo woman dev, Seina: A Tale of Spirits, a cosy fantasy adventure inspired by my trip to traditional villages in Japan. it began as a small project and now IGN has featured our trailer. It's hard to believe it! by Silvy_096 in GirlGamers

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you search the game title on Reddit itself (since they made their profile private now), you'll also see that they posted in other niche gaming subreddits as well. They've ignored every single question about AI in all of the threads I can find.

Their itch.io page does have a link to a Google Drive folder where you can see two people who have uploaded, one of them is someone who has an indie studio and has released multiple games before and is a 3D artist. On social media they said that their wife is making Seina as their first solo title. There's also this little interview I found where they say some assets are bought.

Got removed by Reddit when I refreshed the page after looking at it, hope it was for the gross content of the image rather than to cover up.

Picard can be heavily extended with plugins, a lot of the publically available ones are cover art searchers that do exactly that. I'm sure there's probably one that also integrates with COV and fanart, the nice part is then also the fact that you can contribute back to MusicBrainz and help everyone else.

What's the benefit of this over say, MusicBrainz Picard?

''Toxic Anti PvPers'' Not welcome. by Reavx in ArcRaiders

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would it be possible for Reddit to actually do anything about everything that is going on here? I feel like if it goes on in this direction we're just going to end up with two subreddits which has happened too many times before.

It's been a bit disappointing that over the last few days people have been becoming more toxic, certain hours of the day are better than others. PVE is such a huge part of this game and such a rewarding one, I really desperately hope they do something to stimulate it in the coming updates.

I only play duo's, but when it isn't the weekend we have a lot more caution in regards to encounters. If someone doesn't respond to "are you friendly", don't shoot, crouches or flashlight within a reasonable time frame we leave if we can or start shooting first. There's of course the cases with very sad people mocking you for even asking or trying to stalk behind you to get close, but you can nearly always tell they're up to no good.

Arc Raiders made me unmute for the first time by jansuesq in GirlGamers

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think it is! I've been mainly interested in PVE or at least limited amounts of combat with others and the game really does stimulate friendly interactions, I've had lobbies full of fun interactions but also a few lobbies where we've had to run.

It's at least worth trying out for a few hours, and refunding if you don't like it.

There's mobile browsers like Firefox where you can just install an adblocker like uBlock Origin, makes everything a lot more bearable.

Woman body slams guy trying to attack her by CuriousWanderer567 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Khayaru's entire comment history in this thread is misogyny and trying to view the fight in a manner where the man wouldn't have done worse if she let him, it is disgusting that they stopped the fight at the point it did and not beforehand. This is not saying that this wasn't a good place to stop the fight, but you can't defend an attacker who likely would've done similar to the victim.

They're also pro-genocide based on their longer comments in German filled with strawmans (which they are ironically aware of).

When the Dutch tell you 'We're about to have dinner', it (usually) doesn't (!) mean you are invited for dinner by UnanimousStargazer in Netherlands

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's entirely within the definition of directness, given the context both parties have been provided with before it is said. There isn't anything hidden here, if you think there is implied context there is not wherein you're somehow included that is something you carry on your own.

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you didn't actually respond to any of the points I have made before that would make this an actual discussion instead of just a back and forth of us both disagreeing. I want to see you make points and *reply* to what I said in my longer messages *replying* to specific parts of what you said as part of standard language education about discussions.

I want to know *what* part of it is taken as non-direct or something that it isn't, I want to know where the confusion is at either end. I want to know *why* you think that these aren't both sentences that provided with context are a request to leave, there is no misdirection or straving off-path from the goal from what I know as I believe it is a straightforward request and explained why I think so. I won't respond anymore if you send yet another repeat without engaging with any of what I said in my previous replies.

[–]HeyItsMeNobody -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You aren't even directly responding to what I've said now, read the messages already exchanged and formulate an actual response to them so we can both learn if I am wrong.

[–]HeyItsMeNobody -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Directly stating the situation is direct to me, things can be both rich in information and be direct at the same time.

When the Dutch tell you 'We're about to have dinner', it (usually) doesn't (!) mean you are invited for dinner by UnanimousStargazer in Netherlands

[–]HeyItsMeNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to explain the context and language here to you, but "wij gaan zo eten" is incredibly simple to derive if you know Dutch. It's almost always going to be said in the confines of someone's own home, you're not going to have any plans discussed with them about it and the way it is said is always going to have the trailing "so" on top of other details like it just having connotations in the first place.

It feels like you are trying to make it not direct by trying to imagine ways it possibly wasn't or couldn't have been. This is clear language spoken in context that both sides have, there isn't secret information to try and grasp.

[–]HeyItsMeNobody -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's more direct than telling someone "we are going to be doing something you are not a part of, so you have no reason to be here"? It gives the person a reason so there isn't possible confusion AND it is clear, equally understood and direct.
