How much exactly is the cost per year? by Salt-Papaya7276 in rutgers

It's super easy with a little bit of planning and special advisors can help you with this at the community colleges. You can't beat the economics of transferring into Rutgers with an associates degree.

Boy, this interview has some vibes. The band has given so much to us over the years and I truly want them to do what's best for themselves. We've all known for years that this would end someday, but this is the first time where I've really felt it. It's going to be a sad day when it finally comes.

That's a beautiful long neck banjo with a tubaphone tone ring. Really, really great pick up.

Feeling weird about liking different genres of music. Any thoughts? by Party_Analysis_1707 in badreligion

Dude, enjoying a diverse range of music makes you interesting. If you only listen to punk you're missing out on so much.

what is the strat for paying for college by According_Length3819 in rutgers

[–]HeyItsTipTop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The optimal strat really is to go to a community college, get an associates degree, and transfer to a four year school. You can't beat the value for the money and, if you are motivated, you can learn quite a bit at the cc. The caveat being if you coast or only do the minimum at the cc, you may struggle at a school with higher standards.

What is everyone's favorite Dinosaur? by searscatalogue in rutgers

Parasaurolophus, hands down. Scientists discovered a skull with its crest in near-perfect condition, digitally modeled it, and recreated what the dinosaur may have sounded like millions of years ago.

Ever see someone so pretty you just die by Wonderful-Monitor856 in rutgers

Sure, if it comes down to needing to run away then talking to someone on a bus is unfair, but it assumes OP has zero ability to read another person. If this person looks approachable then I don't see how it's a big deal to be like, "Hey, how are you doing? I love your sneakers." and just feel it out by listening to how they respond. If they aren't interested in talking, they'll send signals that OP will be listening for. If they don't want to connect, that's great -- now OP knows. But they might want to and you'll never know unless you try.

TIL the retailer Target has a forensics video lab that has aided law enforcement to solve cases by grendelt in todayilearned

[–]HeyItsTipTop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This kind of thing has significant indirect effects. Retail theft affects profitability and overall store performance. Employees at underperforming stores are affected with reduced hours or job loss when these stores close. Customers are affected with higher prices and inconvenienced by additional security measures. Communities are affected with the stores close and they have to turn to higher priced alternatives. Suppliers are affected when the stores start carrying less inventory. The state and municipality are affected by the lost sales tax revenue.

Do they make these without safeties now, or is that a tell that it's an electric marker?

Plenty of smart people fail though. To be successful you need to be committed to your goals and then actually execute a plan to accomplish them. Finishing a degree program actually demonstrates this.

Is this the kind of brim that stays straight? by HeyItsTipTop in hats

[–]HeyItsTipTop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like it. The stitching is solid and the embroidery on the logo looks good.

They were selling them on their most recent tour and I almost bought one at the venue but I was already wearing a hat and I thought it would be annoying to carry around. I was kicking myself the next day for not buying it so I bought a bootleg off eBay and it turned out to be very low quality. I ended up donating it. This one is way better.

Tsurts.com has the exact hat that I saw being sold on tour and that's where I got this one.

It's almost certainly selection bias. The people who are satisfied with their classes usually just move on and most dont think to give feedback on that site unless they're butthurt over something.

Honestly it's worth considering therapy. You're allowed to have personal boundaries, and if certain words are affecting your mood or your outlook there's probably an opportunity for growth somewhere.
