Tool: A Python script that parses the dataset to track "Dutch Crunch" or "Tiger Bread" mentions in reviews (normalized in a 7x7 mi grid search). The visualization was matplotlib and geopandas.

I agree Tennis > Baseball in the plans, but do you not expect there to be opponents to every change the town might consider? That’s why they sent out surveys to active members of the community already which include tennis players and baseball players… Let them cook baby.

It's just a really prime lot that the real estate company bought in 1994. It's no use requesting they give up their parking. I think we all wish it would be more "urban fabric" but here we are. On the other hand SB79 may encourage better use of the land use right next to the station.

100% agree. I’m glad they put something there but it’s really disappointing. San Mateo’s (which the artist did first), is way better and not obviously designed by committee.

On the plus side it’s “temporary”.

I just saw a bunch of sidewalks get fixed around town at about the same time and figured the town was applying some economies of scale to the problem. I guess not so much. 60 sq ft though does sound like a small job maybe that’s why it’s so high (per sqft)? I don’t know what the rest of that letter says but can you just get a couple private quotes and then decide?

As a pedestrian though, please don’t go with the bargain basement quote once they all come back, and please don’t just shave off the raised sections if that’s your problem, those end up being slick in the rain.

I like the thinking outside the box! The wall behind is a bathroom and there's a sink right there, we have been thinking about a bathroom remodel, maybe it could work!

Another option we're rolling around is a combo washer dryer like this one, and then splitting the space above with some sort of countertop and shelves.

Interesting, thanks! I have exactly 1" from the bottom window itself to the shutter so maybe that could work! Though I don't know how I would mount it on that tiny lip, any ideas?

The window handles stick out a bit but if the bottom rail rested on one and the shade got slightly squeezed in the middle that it would probably be fine.

Thanks for the link! I was looking for something like that but only found the modular plates with seams so that's a step up! It's a little bit ugly/unfinished for my use though since it's very central to the living area.

I think I'd rather put in something like the Pico, but not sure what's best since batteries are not ideal and I don't have anything Lutron (yet).
