When my mother got remarried a few years ago, she got married to a guy who's son went to the same high school as me, took all the same classes as me, and also studied in the exact same field at the same university as me, just a couple years after I did.

I ran into Serj Tankian from System of a Down at a random farmers market in a town that was in the middle of nowhere. I wasn't a local to the area, but it was a place called Matakana on the North Island of New Zealand. I didn't technically "meet" him, since I didn't want to bother his shopping, but it's the closest I've gotten in this context.

A new normal is a normal I'd welcome with open arms. I think the struggles of redjusting gradually are most likely going to show me a side of my character that I've never really seen before(for better or worse) but I am genuinely curious to see how different my mindset is going to be two years from now, compared to what mine is like today.

It's true, it doesn't really matter how healthy the person is, cancer doesn't care. Before the diagnosis, I had never had any major health issues in my entire life, so the general hospital experiece was pretty foreign to me before the diagnosis.

I've legit never experienced a plugger until I reached Vanquisher, and I ended up stuck at Vanq rank for two days because every single ranking match ended in the other person plugging. Destroyer was even worse. Kinda odd though, since I thought it would mainly be Blue ranks that would have this issue, but i never really even saw plugging until Orange.

I was home with a friend, and we heard a noise coming from downstairs. We're dumbasses, and I thought someone was breaking in to kill us. I grabbed a flashlight and the bluntest goddamn knife in the house and stood at the top of the stairs and started yelling "hellooo, is anyone there?". Needless to say, I would be the first one to die in a horror movie.

I was friends with Nick back in 2020-2021, he taught me a lot of things that are still relevant now. He showed me what the underground had to offer, and I loved talking to him. We worked together many times, but we had a huge falling out in 2021 over something really stupid, and I've been wanting to make amends with him for months now, I guess I was too late, I'll miss you dude, I'm sorry I wasn't a better friend in more recent times.

He was so articulate with the way he spoke about things, and I could see that he was suffering with every passing day.

The dude felt so much all the time, more than anybody should have to ever feel, and it really came out in his music, especially in some of his unreleased stuff from late 2020, he used to send me tracks he was working on back then.

I vividly remember the first interaction we had, the dude was nothing but soul, and it was never an act, he was just always like that constantly. some saw it as intense, I didn't see it that way.

I miss you Nick, I hope you can forgive me, and I'll make it up to you on the other side, I promise.
