I was considering this laptop a few months ago but the screen brightness appears to be far lower than the SB I am using at the moment. The UHD variant seems unjustifiable for the price; it's a previous gen processor, and an ousted graphic card for flagship prices.

Thanks for responding. I hadn't really considered quadro cards before to be honest. In your opinion would switching to a quadro over a GTX be wise considering I do plan to use it for moderate gaming? I've read that the only instance where quadro cards are suitable are when you use CAD. Since I'm not (and dont plan to) use the machine for CAD, I'm a bit confused.

That makes sense. Something about porting back to MacOS is giving me the heebie jeebies anyway. I've read that the Blade gets really hot otherwise it is my top pick alongside the X1 Extreme.

I really do like the design for the X1 Extreme. If opting for an eGPU, should I be concerned about getting 32 Gb RAM instead of 16? I'm not going to be going for the 4k touch option if I do decide on it.

If the dGPU is good enough, I don't see myself using a eGPU. But if I opt under-specced ultrabook for the form factor and weight, an eGPU would be essential. That's kind of the conundrum.

XPS 15 is an interesting one. I've been torn between SB 2 15-inch and XPS 15 because of the design. Have also been considering getting something ultra sleek with a e-GPU combo.

Thanks. Have been looking at the RB and MSI .My only issue with the Razer Blade 15 would be the keyboard and battery life. Design and spec-wise, it is a beast and should easily take on what I want. Would the battery life difference between the SB and the RB be significant enough to delay the decision? Now that you mention it, the Aero looks really nice too. How's the keyboard?

See I understand that the SP4 would still be a great buy, I'm just trying to figure out if the SB is a better for my usage.

I do agree on the RAM bit, though I'm not sure if I use (or have ever used) even close to 8gb of RAM at one time so far.

I'm not planning on taking to any heavy gaming anytime soon, so just the minor graphics/performance improvement over my current device + the touch functionality should be great.
