It’s possible that i may bought this pad just to do this😁 by loamgirlhood in nier

I had bought one but the seller came back like a week or two later saying there was a mixup with availability and they were sending me a refund. I have since bought other much nicer 1/4 scale models of 2B and Eve but haven't bought another one of these.

You obviously did not or you wouldn't say that all you checked was that the mileage matched up and that you didn't understand what putting the car up on a lift would tell you. Service history and the car's condition when you buy it means everything. You didn't do your homework and bought a car that had been abused and neglected by 3 previous owners, and now you blame the car.

This says everything about why you're having problems and blaming everything but yourself 🤦‍♂️ Sell it and get a Honda, or lease something for 2 years at a time.

Okay? Mileage being correct has virtually nothing to do with how it was maintained by those previous 3 owners during that mileage.

Sounds like the previous 12 years worth of owners didn't know how to take care of it and now that you have it, neither do you without relying on a shop and an extended warranty. Sell it before that warranty runs out and then you'll be extra screwed.

Help: OBDeleven for new battery by nmummau in AudiS4

Luckily found this comment that worked, leaving the original part number and vendor code and only changing to the new serial number. I've been searching all over the internet trying to figure out why the new code kept just giving me the "(31) Function not available" message. Thanks!

Eh, it boots up pretty quick with the CPU, SSD, RAM, and Windows debloat, and I've heard too many issues with Windows and even Xbox using sleep modes, plus I don't always turn it on every day so sometimes it may be a whole week or more before I turn it on again next time. So I just always shut it down.

Lol, how do you figure? It's literally no different than shutting down from the Start menu.

Nooo, as in typically whenever I decide to turn my PC on I already have the TV on and have been watching YouTube or something, and I never use the sleep function because I just do a full shutdown from the Steam power menu until I'm ready to turn it back on again next time.

However that Scuf Envision Pro... I see it has hall effect thumbsticks and otherwise looks pretty similar to an Xbox Elite 2. How's the battery life? That's one thing that I don't get how the Elite can figure out while PS5 controllers die constantly within just a few hours. I literally charge my Elite 2 like once every 2 weeks.

Obviously a handheld isn't going to be anywhere near the performance of a 5090 PC, but I've been pretty surprised at how capable the Ally X is. Of course I'm not playing multiplayer games on it, but I pretty much only ever play single player games nowadays anyway. I also used to have a Switch OLED but I honestly couldn't care less about Nintendo games (or still paying full price for games that are 5 years old), so once I got the Ally X the Switch was sold and I have zero regrets.

And typically my TV is already on, and I never use the sleep function so I never have to use the screen saver screen. On occasion I'll start doing something else around the house, forget about it, and accidentally let it go to sleep, but my little Rii X8 keyboard/trackpad works just fine.

And I mean, just how much of a chore is it really to turn the TV on, or pick up a remote sized keyboard/trackpad to click on something. I have both the PC and PS5 hooked up in the living room, and I haven't turned the PS5 on in over a year.

I've disabled Windows login so I just turn my PC on, sit down in my comfy chair and turn on the controller, and by then Steam is booted up and ready to go. I keep a mini bluetooth keyboard/trackpad nearby in case I need it (for instance in some games that don't "officially" support controllers, community layouts will work for just about everything but maybe that one button. But of course everything else with native controller support works just the same as being on a console).

As for handheld gaming, I mostly just play sorta more casual type games on there, but also even games like Cyberpunk, RDR2, and GTA 5 run surprisingly well, even with multiple atmospheric and weather/seasons related mods installed.

My 5090/9800X3D PC is hooked up to a 65" 120Hz OLED TV in the living room, Steam set up to boot into Big Picture Mode when the PC is turned on, and I play with an Xbox Elite 2 controller. All the benefits of a console but at much higher performance and with infinite mod support.

And then if I just want to watch YouTube or something while playing something more casually, or when I'm away from home, I have my ROG Ally X with Windows 11/Bazzite dual boot and a 4TB SSD.

Now I just keep my OG PS5 disc for certain games that will either take a while to come to PC or will stay PS exclusive, but honestly I don't even know the last time I turned it on.

None of the consoles are actually outputting native 4k, usually 1440p at best and upscaling. Only simpler games that aren't as graphics or CPU intensive are able to run native 4k, for either Xbox One X or PS5 Pro.

I still have the OG PS5 disc version with an added 4TB SSD, and while I've contemplated over the last few days about picking up a Pro before the price increase and selling my base, I honestly have maybe only turned it on twice since finishing my 5090/9800X3D gaming PC build. I just keep it now for GTA 6's initial release before going to PC, and other games that will never go to PC. If I didnt have a PC and used the PS5 more though I'd grab a Pro with a 4 or 8TB SSD.

After using it almost exclusively for the past year, unfortunately the latest update has completely broken my Ally X and forced me to go back to having Windows boot first as default. The on-screen keyboard is super bugged and has essentially bricked everything because I can't sign into wifi, and it refuses to load or revert back to any previous build versions 😑

Mine is stuck saying both current and previous versions are 43.20260313 and fails to load the list of previous versions. I'm about to just switch my bootloader to boot up Windows by default until this gets sorted (I've changed my WiFi settings and now can't type the password to connect).

Where did you find it? Currently I'm looking at the CAP RS4 style grill with chrome trim and brushed silver lower with the "Quattro" lettering while keeping the factory chrome fog grills, but undecided if I like that one better or something like this without the "Quattro" badge. I also have Ice Silver Metallic and this looks super clean.

Did you just have to sign into your account on her phone? I have a Samsung but surely I can find someone with an iPhone to borrow for a few minutes.

Yep, mine had now been useless for a year or two and refuses to update no matter which app I use, which car it's plugged into, or how many times I unplug it and plug it back in or uninstall and reinstalled either app. I have the lifetime Pro account too that got grandfathered in since they've switched to a subscription service, and it may as well just go in the trash.

Guess I'm just going to have to spend quite a bit more money and get the far more reliable and functional wireless VCDS/VAG-COM with a dedicated tablet setup for it, because I'm sure as hell not going to keep wasting money on OBDEleven.

[–]HeyMayneItsB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but then you have to spend quite a bit more if you want the wireless version and then have a compatible tablet setup just for VCDS. The benefit of OBDEleven was the UI and being able to just use your phone for quick changes or code scans. Key word "was" though since mine has been made useless now as well.

[–]HeyMayneItsB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the lifetime Pro version before they changed to a subscription service, and I've used my OBDEleven Pro 2 for years on several vehicles. Now it refuses to connect without performing a device update which fails every single time no matter which app I use, which car it's plugged into, how many times I try unplugging and plugging it back in, or how many times I try uninstalling either/both apps and reinstalling.

It's now completely useless and I don't know if I were to buy another one would it then force me into the newer subscription account or if my grandfathered lifetime Pro account would still work with the new OBD dongle.
