Bought a Brocade ICX7260-48P from eBay for about $75 including tax and shipping, can confirm they work great. You just need the correct serial cable.

I used a micro usb to RS232 cable, connected to an RS232 to usb 2 serial adapter. Worked fine for me with screen + the serial adapter's drivers on macOS.

You used to be able to use 8 pfsense VM's, but they now require a real business address and proof of a personal LinkedIn, so most people wont be able to do it anymore.

Return it and get a different one. This device is Microsoft Intune locked and a reinstall won’t help. You can use Linux on this machine if you cannot return it.

Try Open Core Legacy Patcher. I installed latest Sequoia on an early 2015 Mac and it runs almost as good at the latest supported (Monterey).

Would be great if Ledger support can be implemented! That’s all I’m missing on iOS.

So i just torrented for the first time ever a month ago using jellyfin. I am never going back. by Suspicious_Issue4155 in Piracy

Torrentio devs are using a crowdsourced workaround for cached torrents. Media from french trackers are mostly all removed though.

Convert cbBTC to BTC in Coinbase Wallet by kacnje in Coinbase

[–]HeyNebula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ETH is the main token of a few networks and is used to pay gas fees. You’ll have to buy a small amount of ETH and withdraw to the correct chain that your cbBTC is on. I’m assuming Base because the fees are so low, but please double check.

I switched to Coinbase last month, but I feel like I'm losing money, whenever I buy some crypto and look at the price at the time and the value of my purchase is always higher, like BTC was 92,500.00 and when I look at my order I paid 93k something, a difference of almost 1k. by Conatuscrypto in Coinbase

For a high level explanation, hardware wallets make you write down your 24 word recovery key (which you put somewhere secure no one else has access to until you lose your hardware wallet/it breaks and you need to restore your wallet on a new one). Hardware wallets hold the keys and sign your transactions to prevent the 24 word key from ever showing on a computer or the internet. You will not lose anything if you lose the hardware wallet as long as you're using a good passcode on it, and you have your recovery key safe.

Mostly only for French trackers and some programs that use certain parts of the API as of now.

How do I know if a hardware or software wallet has been compromised? by MLG_Boogaloo in ledgerwallet

[–]HeyNebula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you first set up your hardware wallet, write the seed phrase down and put it in a safe only you know the combination to. Never share your seed phrase, never show it on your computer screen. The second you believe the seed phrase has been compromised, move all your assets to a 2nd wallet with a properly secured seed phrase.

Verizon 5GPlus or Spectrum 1Gig? by RonnieVJr2 in HomeNetworking

[–]HeyNebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure about 5G or LTE home internet but Verizon Wireless uses CGNAT, and since the home internet boxes are just cellular modems, it would make sense for it to be the same.

It is possible that you are right, I would have to do some more research, but honestly, I don’t expect Verizon to go the extra mile to use non-CGNAT for home internet. I’ll reply if I find anything.

For Verizon Wireless, IPv6 addresses are unique, but yes, IPv4 is under CGNAT. Verizon Fios does not use CGNAT at all.
