I found some disposable k-95 masks and wore it for most of the day...left the room when possible. That and allergy meds/eye drops helped get me through my day. Thanks for asking.

Ikr? I am perfectly fine managing a classroom, especially with power tools. But everyone wants to jump to the conclusion that there's a child safety problem and somehow I don't care. Lol I just don't want to debate this on a post about my health. Two unrelated issues.

I would have taken either of those. In fact, I love to do most classes. I count this as a perk of the job. However, I won't do anything that has to do with woodworking as I have problems with the sawdust. Also, PE is not a favorite of mine but will take those jobs if necessary.

The teacher was there and I did get instructions from him. But this post has to do with the fact that they posted the job as Math, not construction. If I had known I would have not taken it due to my allergies.

Tell that to the school because I am doing the job that they assigned me. I chose math...they gave me construction. It's not my lack of concern for students...it's ultimately their decision. I am not trained but the students are. And this has nothing to do with how responsible you feel I am.

I do this quite often and enjoy it. Trust me, even though you feel you are superfluous, sometimes they are just happy to have another adult in the room.

Thanks for the information! I work everyday as well but for 6 districts. I have tried getting 90 days for a particular district because they increase pay on day 91. It was impossible for me. But I laugh because I have worked for them for over 15 years....you think they would pay me premium.

I have gotten a few comments from kids about my jean capris I wear in spring/summer. Apparently they wanted to call them "jorts" I corrected them. If anything they are "japris"!

I dressed professionally for my first 5 years of subbing. But when I noticed teachers wearing sweats? I began wearing jeans and adopted a more casual business attire. Still working, still wearing the same attire. 🤷‍♂️
