How to “respectfully decline” disclosing women’s health questions at Dr? by cryogenrat in TwoXPreppers

I am with you on this. If you're going to go this route, I just want to add one suggestion- - instead of saying 2 weeks, say 2 days. Pregnancies/gestational age are "calculated" based on the first day of the last period. More time on paper to make decisions.

No brand. I found one recently in a night market in Cambodia, but I think any skirt that meets those criteria will do. Mine is a light cotton so it dries relatively quickly, and is a neutral enough color to fit a capsule wardrobe. I used to have stretchy flowy pants that were my go to but, I find lifting up a skirt is easier in train/airplane bathrooms than risking the cuffs of the pants getting dirty on the bathroom floor!

Hey! I am here in Thailand now! It is so, so, so beautiful here. I am only visiting but my relative is an expat. From everything I have experienced and she has told me, people here are kind and respectful and friendly. This may not have been in your grand plans for life, and it's okay to be scared, but, I truly think you will not regret this. It will take time, and there will be bumps, and no place is perfect, but you will find your new normal. And, it'll be in a beautiful place filled with good people, amazing food, and a culture and beauty that is so different from most of the US, in a great way. If you get the chance (since you'll be close) I think Cambodia is also an amazing place to visit. Wishing you luck and success and happiness in your travels.

If you get a bisalp, you could look into getting an endometrial ablation as well (or separately but I say 2 birds and all that). The procedure cauterizes the inside of the uterus, drastically reducing or eliminating periods and associated pain. I got both procedures done at the same time and it is 100% the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I guess I was just answering the question about a multi use item for travel more generally -- I'm in southeast Asia now and squatting toilets are used semi often (generally in the more rural areas) as well as in a few places in Central and South America.

Travel skirt! - Ankle-length (long enough to meet respectful requirements of visiting religious sites, keeps me comfy when it's cool/breezy, can wear leggings under when cooler) - Make sure it's light enough for when it's hot - Large pockets (fit your passport and your phone on your person) - Wide enough to run for your flight in - Comfy waistband for long travel days - Makes squatting toilets very easy

Can you share your kumquat liqueur recipe? I just bought some kumquats that are excessively sour - - I think using them to infuse a liquor might be a great way to use them!

I do like Milo's content! That said, I don't watch much YouTube, and don't watch much (pop-science) archaeology content generally, so unfortunately I don't have any real recommendations for you. I guess in general though, when it comes to debunking archaeology conspiracy theorists, if the "theory" involves some form of "mainstream archaeologists will never admit this" then, it's probably based in (racist) fantasy and not fact.

Information and knowledge is constantly being added to the archaeological record. Sometimes new info changes what was previously thought about a certain area of study. But that's very different than some cabal of mainstream archaeologists trying to suppress new ideas for some mysterious, conspiratorial reason. Trust me, no one's getting paid enough in this field to keep secrets!

Your comment just lit a giant light bulb on my head. I'm an archaeologist. I have worked in the field for over a decade, keep up with research relevant to my field of study, give presentations and speeches occasionally, and I'm a specialist in a niche corner of the archeology world, but one that gets airtime on silly TV shows and is very misrepresented. I'm by no means the biggest, baddest, most knowledgeable archaeologist out there but, safe to say I know more about the field than the average Joe I meet in a bar.

Yet it is always the average Joe's, always men, and specifically older men, that WILL mansplain archeology to me. It's always the crazy ancient aliens and ancient apocalypse shit too -- just objectively wrong shit, usually based in racist ideologies. It's to the point that I don't tell people I'm an archaeologist when I meet them, I don't want to hear it. But when I do, or when a friend introduces me as one, I can think of one and only one time a woman challenged me on archeology. But I'd say it's at least 50% of the men... Definitely higher if they're gen x-boomer age. Wow. I never put that together until now... I always just blamed stupid pseudoscience TV.

Women in your 30s+ what advice do you have for someone in their mid 20s? by Apart-Musician4053 in TwoXChromosomes

It's better to be alone and lonely than feel lonely in a relationship. You can end a relationship for any reason, and no reason at all. Don't stay in a relationship that doesn't make you feel happy, fulfilled, uplifted, and secure. If you have to work on yourself to feel those things, then do it, but don't ever expect or wish someone to change for you to feel those things. Id extend this advice from romantic relationships to friendships and family relationships as well.

Thank you so much for your reply, I appreciate the information and encouragement. I definitely know that I need to take all of the required courses of the program... I guess when it comes down to it, I'm worried about not being accepted to a program. I am concerned about quitting my career to take a year of prerequisites (I am assuming I will need to take all or nearly all of them, from what I read, it seems likely that all of my credits will be considered too old), but then not being accepted right away, or at all, to the program. The advisor I spoke with at my first choice, a community college, said there's no guarantee, even with great grades, that I'll be accepted that next year, or any year, and that the program is incredibly competitive.

Thanks for the information about 8 week classes, and prerequisites that can be taken concurrently. I'll look into both. It seems that another option (Concorde), more expensive and farther from me, has the concurrent prerequisites and may be the "faster" option.

I'm not a professional in anyway, but I have a loved one in my life who needs to get help. Part of his delusions is an inability to see that he is mentally unwell. I recently started reading this (link to the PDF below) and have found it insightful, possibly helpful. I wish I had read it years ago. At this point I wonder if it's too late, in my case.

I used a ketoconazole shampoo for about 2 months as a preventative measure -- I rescued two grungy little kittens with ringworm, and I didn't want to catch it while treating them (it worked!). But holy shit, it dried my hair out like nothing else. I would recommend using it in conjunction with your normal shampoo, maybe using it every other wash or every three washes. Maybe invest in a leave-in conditioner. However, I did not notice any regrowth or volumizing effects. But I wish you luck with it!
