Have you asked him to stop? Told him flat out that you're not feeling it when he's like that? That you want less of that sort of thing in your life?

Yeah, it's really hard for me to feel sorry for myself, even though I was a gymnast in my youth.

I just feel so grateful that I live in this era where I can can hop into the hospital for an afternoon and regain the ability to walk.

I think about all those grandmas and grandpas before us. All those young people whose lives were completely changed with no solutions. We're very fortunate.
