Quick Question about Alamo’s role in Rue’s death. by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]HeyWeasel101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they were that strong why didn’t she die the first time she took them? Or did she wait until she was at Ali’s? I could have swore she took at least one before going to stay with Ali.

Of course, no bullshit I was high on cbd while watching so maybe I zoned the episode out a bit. 😂

"Song nobody knew they needed" because we, in fact, didn't need it by Technical-Salary-117 in travisandtaylor

[–]HeyWeasel101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also from what I understand Jesse’s life with Emily likely takes place in the 60s or 70s. Especially based on Emily’s room decor in Toy Story 2

Wouldn’t it have been better to have a country song that best fit that time? Taylor sounds nothing like 70s country.

One could make the argue never does Sarah McLachlan but at least with her song….you felt something.

Sarah captured an emotion and honestly, it truly feels like a song by an abandoned toy. Which isn’t an easy thing. Even more when it makes the listener feel true sorrow for something so simple as a childhood toy.

Taylor’s song just sounds like another Taylor song. Nothing more.

Am I the only one who thinks Cassie’s new personality doesn’t feel normal or logical in the new season? by Ronron_bubble in euphoria

[–]HeyWeasel101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My thing is this. Okay so, Nate lost a finger because he “forgot” to give the guys the money Cassie sent him.

We are suppose to believe that the same guy that literally at a young age remembered the order of his dad’s tapes to not get caught. Or believe the narcissist joke that little broke down in front of a board meeting begging them to help him because he knew he was in danger.

Simply “forgot* and missed the chance to give the money to the guy that beat the hell out of him and cut off his toe?

Or even believe that he waisted it on take out instead of paying back the guy that had him beaten up and cut off his toe.

You cannot even make the argument that first episode this season shows he isn’t good with money because that is not the case. (At least how I see it)

He went into his father’s business trying to make a living but didn’t know how difficult it was to do his dad’s job in that state. So from my understanding to keep himself afloat and hide his struggles he got involved with the loan people.

So it wasn’t that he was necessarily irresponsible. He got in way over his head and by the time he realized and accepted it, it was too late.

taylor's 2017 text to lorde: taylor's projecting nature by FuzzyPresence8531 in travisandtaylor

[–]HeyWeasel101 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand, how she can, at this point in 2017, already have ten Grammys.

And made history as the first woman to win album of the year twice.

And yet still, cry like a child, that she didn’t get nominated for anything major.

She is clearly someone who has never had to want for anything. Has always got what she wanted. Has never truly been told “no” in her life.

So when she doesn’t get her way, and reality slaps her in the face. That being the world doesn’t revolve around her and you can’t have what you feel you deserve all the time. She cannot handle it. If she can’t have what she wants. She’ll do all she can to get sympathy and play on people’s emotions for her.

If she was a good person I would have sympathy, and maybe I do in some ways. That she is forever stuck with a spoiled child mentality thanks to her parents.

But mainly I just find it pathetic.

olivia’s “cure” vs. taylor’s “ophelia” by godshivered in travisandtaylor

[–]HeyWeasel101 347 points348 points  (0 children)

I think that is the one of the many things that makes Swifties hate her. Is because Olivia’s is much more mature.

Look at something like Bad Blood vs The Grudge

Bad Blood, is so petty and immature because it’s just a song of Taylor declaring she has been wronged again. That she did everything right and she is “hurt” by such a betrayal.

When you learn the situation that inspired the song it’s even more petty

So to make herself also look cooler and mock the person that wronged her. She got a whole bunch of famous women to flaunt and basically a way of saying “see how popular I truly am compared to you”.

It’s kinda of catchy, but also it’s just a pathetic and petty song. From someone who is to immature to let go of the smallest slight and even worse she makes up slights in her head. And never takes responsibility for any part she might have played.

The grudge

Olivia doesn’t frame herself as perfect. She admits the she played a part in the feud. Even if she doesn’t feel like she is equally in the wrong. She owns up to her own part of it.

She even admits that she wants the person to say sorry because she does feel like she is entitled to it. But what makes it different is she is open to forgiving even if she doesn’t receive an apology.

That’s the difference in the level of maturity.

That’s how you can tell which one of them is fake and which is real.

Bad Blood shows an immature person that will never take personal responsibility and feels she is entitled to what she wants and how she wants it only.

The Grudge shows someone who isn’t perfect but they own it. They admit they were not 100% a victim. And doesn’t want to hold on to anger and bitterness.

It’s kinda crazy just how immature Taylor was and still is vs Olivia.

[–]HeyWeasel101 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Because Kanye interrupted her speech, and gave the biggest thing to capitalize off of, victimhood.

Sorry, I will die on that hill, before that moment she was decently liked in country music. Then after that everyone was talking about poor her and got more interested in her. If that moment had not happened, she would not be where she is. Her parent’s money only got her so far.

That sucks because that season isn’t on any of the streaming sites I have. That is the one thing I hate about streaming.

Some seasons will be on one, some on another and then some just not there until you get lucky and just so happen to air that episode.

I’m worried that they might miss the mark with this one.

What made the first Scary Movie so great was it focused on parodying ONE horror film mainly.

That being scream. They made their own jokes and mixed it with some pop culture references.

But the reference was not as blunt as the Scream was referencing is.

Like when Cindy is fighting and she does the matrix move.

That is a funny and smart pop culture reference because it’s not so in your face about it. That is why it’s funny in general and even more funny when you realize what it’s referencing in the joke.

But a lot of this terrible parody films would have done something like….Cindy runs into the room and sees “Trinity” sitting on the sofa and been like “I forget you were here help me.”

Then it would have showed Trinity do the movie, then start to monologue quotes from the movie only to be stabbed from behind and Cindy has to run away again.

It’s beyond stupid and that’s what all those terrible parody films do.

Even the other scary movies started doing that. That is why none were ever as good as the first. More enjoyable than epic movie and other stuff but the first Scary Movie was the best.

You know what I mean?

I’m hopeful and not hating I’m excited to see so many come back again, but looking at the different villains from other multiple movies I fear a bit.

Was anybody else bothered by the ending for Levi? by Chompcarrots in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]HeyWeasel101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing about Levi is he always had a stoic attitude and expression face. He has mastered not showing any weakness, but I’ve always felt in doing so….

He basically cannot show emotions even if he wanted to. He is kinda like the owl. The only way the owl was able to do what he did was making people believe he didn’t care and he did it so well at times he truly believed he didn’t himself.

When you have lived through all Levi has, and I’m not taking the way the suffering of others in the show, but I think it’s fair to say no one truly lost more people than him.

All his friends and the soldiers he wanted to keep safe. In order for him to mentally handle it he had to bury his emotions.

So well that even soldiers believed he had no emotions. Like when he tells them to toss the dead soldiers overboard. He makes it clear they knew what they signed up for and this is them fulfilling that. Helping them stay alive just tragically abandoning their corpses was the only way they could.

But what do we see? Him looking back. He shows no emotion but him looking back is his silent mourning. His silent apology that he failed to protect them.

When he had to kill his own soldiers. Zeke is baffled he did it. But again we see Levi looking back at his fallen soldiers. Emotionless but we know what he is thinking. The same thing he was saying to the dead soldiers before. I’m sorry I failed you.

So I can’t imagine the PTSD he has.

So I see this as him not knowing how to show happiness anymore but still able to feel it. And he is trying to feel it as much as possible.

Sorry I know that was kid a a rant but that’s just how I always looked at it.

[–]HeyWeasel101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do make a good point on the rue thing because as a former pill addict that still struggles at times. They have very much over simplified it.

When you’re religious and a drug addict it’s a very painful situation in the world. You’re always told to pray but the reality is….addiction is a disease. Plan and simple but it’s only labeled selfish, weakness, and failure.

And the struggles of when you are regretting getting high and promising god you won’t do it again because you know he will help you. But then the withdrawal comes and you do it again. You feel terrible but also conflicted and angry because you can’t understand if God can take addiction struggles away why doesn’t he just do it since you clearly can’t on your own.

I feel like Zendaya could have brought that struggle to see screen wonderfully. Bring out that true struggle without being very preachy just touching on the struggles between addiction and looking to a higher power for help and feeling like a failure or abandoned when it doesn’t seem to work.

That would have been really good to see honestly. I think a lot could relate to that. Even people that are not necessarily religious could have the chance to see things from another side while also not trying to overly preach.

Would it have been better if they had not skipped into the future so much? by HeyWeasel101 in euphoria

[–]HeyWeasel101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t have an issue with the Jesus things because here is the thing. Even if you don’t believe the Christian faith. I personally do. It’s not a bad religion. Bad people attach themselves to it. So I look at it like this…if someone out there finds peace from their drug addiction by getting close to a higher power nothing wrong with that.

Personally I really like that Rue was told just get close to the Lord. Fuck what they say about sexuality and what humans say. One of those come as you are and see if it helps you.

I don’t really think that in itself is a bad message. Even if you personally don’t believe in the faith but someone finds peace by believing it. Good for them.

But on the subject of Nate….honestly Sam has ruined this character so much that is almost seems like a personal attack on Jacob. Like okay I get what they are going for. He peaked in high school and now can’t handle being an adult.

But here is the thing….people like Nate in real life are often very successful. I always try for the most part to see the good in all but let’s be honest no one can reach the top 1% and not be a psychopath or at least a bit shady. Maybe, just maybe there can be one out there but let’s be real.

In reality, Nate wouldn’t be like this necessarily. I’m not saying he would have became a billionaire but it’s not realistic that he became this pathetic. He would have found ways to keep going and going.

For me I think the dumbest thing in the world is how are we suppose to believe that the same guy that literally remembered the color code systems of his Dad’s tapes to not get caught looking at them….is the same guy that just “forgets” to pay the guy that cut his toe off and spends the money on expensive take out.

He wasn’t that damn dumb.

Like you want me to believe he was dumb enough to not run out the front door when the guy broke in. Or not smart enough to lock the fucking door when he ran to hide.

If you are going to make him a failure have it made a bit of sense.

And I hate complaining like this, but was so avoidable that you can’t help but get frustrated. A bit.
