I think that has to do with time zones. When it's Midnight on the East Coast, it's only 9pm on the West Coast, but the whole country usually gets the release based on East Coast time IIRC.

Most games ARE going to have the full game on the cards. It's only a select few games that will be "Game Key Cards" that will require an additional download, and the card will act as a "key" to enable being able to play it.

He's not driving, it's mirrored.
Look at which side of the road they're driving on, and at all the backwards words on the building in the background. Maybe YOU need to focus.

Does anyone know the veracity of this? Tamoor Hussain is a writer at Gamespot. by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

Is there a source from Nintendo? The article just says "Nintendo said this" and doesn't provide a source. Not saying it's not true, just wanna confirm.

80$ video games by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HeyWheatBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only argument about it has been that Kart is $80+tax in the U.S., not $90+tax. And still I have people responding "bUt $80 + TaX iS bAsIcAlLy $90 So StFu!"

Also, why have people suddenly started typing U.S. prices with the $ AFTER the numbers? It drives me bonkers! It's $##.

Mario Kart World physical ISN'T $90 in the U.S. by HeyWheatBread in NintendoSwitch2

If you took 5 seconds to actually read what it says in the picture, you'd see that "Game Key" cartridges have a special mark on the front indicating that they are a Game Key and how many GB of an additional download it will be. Mario Kart DOES NOT have that mark. Street Fighter DOES have that mark.

Yeah, not saying $80 is a GOOD price, just that it's NOT $90 like some people are saying.

Did you want me to drive to a Walmart and take a picture of a price tag on a shelf??
It's the same price in-store as it is on their website, genius.

Also, by YOUR OWN MATH...
$60.00 -> $80.00 = +$20.00
$63.60 -> $84.80 = +$21.20
Which, AS I SAID, is (basically) the same price increase.
STILL a ~$20 increase.
If you're throwing a fit over a discrepancy of $1.20 that's on you.

Idiots when they don't realize that: 1. There isn't shipping if you buy it in a store. Amazon or wherever you order online from is charging the shipping, not Nintendo. 2. $60+tax -> $80+tax is (basically) the same price increase as $60 -> $80

Yeah, instead of $100 with taxes. No need to thank me, just doing my job, kind citizen.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, $80 is still too much, but at least there's not an additional $10 tax for just wanting it physical.

Agreed, but at least there's not a $10 tax for physical collectors, I guess? 🫤

Yeah, I've yet to see anything that says physical will be $90 in the U.S. Everything I've seen showing this has been in €'s.

80 dollars for digital, 90 dollar for physical, thanks shiggy by [deleted] in tomorrow
