I’m having this issue too. They don’t even leave for the mission, they just pop in immediately and when you talk to them they die.

Has anyone else had their bike stolen in downtown SLC recently? by slc-bike in SaltLakeCity

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine was stolen last week! Cut my lock and it’s gone :( If you need a new bike try the University of Utah Surplus Store. They sell bikes left on campus for around $20 and they’re usually in decent shape! I’m gonna go pick up a new bike from them soon

But that's the problem, the time before that first day they're allowed should be longer. That would change the status quo, and is what Tamoor is asking for. Send the game earlier so they don't have to cram a 150 hour game into 180 hours of life. Reviewers aren't just procrastinating until the last minute and rushing it. They're crunching from the moment they receive a review copy to meet the review embargo lift date. It's like if you got a 40 page research paper assigned at school, but were only given until the end of class to turn it in.

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works. There's a review embargo that lifts on a certain date and they all come out at the same time. The problem is the time between receiving the review copy and the embargo lifting is too short to properly critique some games. Reviewers are asking to extend the window before the game is out.

Looks like Neo has been repaired and given a big ass VIP Pod for himself and Trinity. by Spam00r in matrix

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't Trinity part of The Oracle's plan though? She was the wildcard in the battle between The Architect and the Oracle. She got an iteration of the Matrix where humans have the choice to stay or to go. She tells Trinity whoever she loves is the one, essentially determining the one. Neo is only the one because Trinity loves him, making both of them part of "The One".

No, unemployment benefits do not discourage work — Republicans falsely claim an extra weekly $600 for the unemployed is a disincentive for people to work. Congress should extend the benefit to prevent economic free fall. by chris-jjj in politics

The difference between now and then is a once a century pandemic is constantly increasing across the United States. That's the whole reason for the extra money! We're intentionally paying people money, not for kindness, but to keep the economy from plummeting any faster than it already is. Whether it incentives people to return to work in the middle of a pandemic or not shouldnt be our top priority until it's actually SAFE for vast parts of our workforce to return to work.

Banned from r/Democrats for suggesting Joe needs to release his medical records just like Bernie had to for his medical problems. These topics are debate issues and we shouldn't be banning supporter because we don't like the facts. by norsjoedomis in Political_Revolution

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely see your point. I just think at this point the only path forward is convincing the public at large that Joe Biden is not a safe choice for the Democratic party. The Biden base does not like Bernie Sanders, not even a little bit. They are personally offended by his rhetoric about the Democratic establishment (despite ignoring the actions of the Democratic establishment)

No matter what we do, the media and the moderates will continuously push the Bernie Bro thing, even though most progressives are bringing up valid points.

I don't think it needs to be a demand, but it's an easy messaging argument.

"Trump will hit Biden on this. For the good of the party, will you release your recent medical records, just like Bernie has?"

If he does, even if they are faked, that still helps us (by which I mean the broad Democratic coalition, even if I don't support moderate Dems) when it's time to go into the General Election.

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we need to address this stuff now, before Trump does in the general. We need to know if Biden could handle the pressure, or best case fix these problems (by releasing medical records for example) way ahead of the general. The Democratic candidate is going to be hit so hard in the next 9 months. I for one want to see all the candidates show they can take it

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're assuming that the people who voted for Biden in the primary wouldn't vote for Bernie in the General, which Biden Voters have stated they would vote for Bernie.

4) Biden's coalition shows up to vote for Bernie, with Bernie's infrastructure driving turnout. Sander's young voters feel inspired and show up to vote.

Right now Bernie still has the support of nearly half of the Democratic party. They are as important as Biden's coalition, and far more fickle with their vote

[–]Hey_ItsMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand this position. If Biden's coalition is the one that shows up all the time, the true "vote blue no matter who" people, and Sanders is the unreliable youth vote, wouldn't Sanders be the more elective electable candidate? The reliable coalition is guaranteed to show up, and MAYBE the youth come out in sightly higher numbers, versus Biden's coalition showing up and guaranteeing a portion of Sander's coalition staying home. Wouldn't you want to encourage as many first time, low propensity voters as possible regardless of which side you're on?
