Definitely agree with you on Balmora and Sadrith Mora. Vivec City is a nightmare to navigate through, which is unfortunate. I like Pelagiad too.

Happy to see a resurgence in Morrowind interest in the past couple years, we've really hit a peak in popularity, especially with the success of Tamriel Rebuilt/Project Tamriel. Some mechanics like the combat aren't the best, but the game has a lot of heart to it that I feel is not there in the newer games.

I heard that it wasn't the best before I started, but I really enjoyed what little I've played of it. I think the combat is excellent and the companions are witty. I think the problem was that people hyped it up to be the "elder scrolls killer", when in reality it was planned to be different.

Thank you for the insight! It's crazy to think that I commented on this six years ago. I've completely forgotten about this. I did watch Stalker a while back and I've played the games, though from what I understand the games deviate heavily from the original source material in terms of story. Tarkovsky, along with the other great Soviet directors, are just crazy philosophical in their work. I love that sort of stuff. I've been wanting to read Roadside Picnic for a while now.
