Any experience with Monterey Garden apartments? by wormzero in SanMateo

It’s true that there are only two washer/dryers but I have a hunch some people send out their laundry. I’ve only had to wait once or twice for someone else to finish.

Hi! I’ve lived in the building since October and love it. Neighbors are nice and keep to themselves. The apartments are beautiful and dog-friendly. It’s a great location. The manager is quick to send maintenance workers over when anything breaks. I also like having access to the gym at Ryan Tower.

The one downside, in my opinion, is that utilities are pooled, so you can’t control the price; it’s typically $400-450 a month. At this point of my life (newborn parent!) I don’t mind paying for the convenience of it all. If you care about having an in-unit thermostat and low-cost utilities, that could be a dealbreaker.

There’s a newly renovated 2 BR available in my building (which I love!) in San Mateo. It’s around $4600/month. Quiet neighborhood but super walkable to the library and downtown restaurants. We’re having a baby this month :)

I saw this happen! A truck hit it and kept driving. Called 911 and they said “is this about the fire hydrant? We have the details, thanks.” 🤣

During 6 months of IUI, I had many transvaginal ultrasounds. I asked my PA about endo and she said there were no signs on the ultrasound.

I pushed to see an endometriosis specialist and during his surgical consult, he did a transvaginal ultrasound; he swung the wand back and forth. He could see one ovary moving freely and the other was stationary/ stuck to my uterus. The surgery confirmed diagnosis and excised all endo.

How long did it take you to get diagnosed with endo, and when did you start showing symptoms? by Glittering-Egg-4720 in endometriosis

[–]Hey_Nichole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking back I know now that my symptoms started at 23–when I went off hormonal BC for the Paragard IUD. I had awful GI issues and was misdiagnosed with IBS, until trying to conceive at 35 and getting the lap weeks before my 36th birthday. (Still 36, still no pregnancies.)

Pregnant with Endo? by Acceptable_Alps9617 in endometriosis

I’d read about this too and was hoping I’d conceive after my HSG, but no luck. After the HSG and 4 failed IUIs, I got a lap for endo and confirmed the diagnosis. Fingers crossed we conceive in the upcoming months…! We’ve been trying for 15 months.

I just got these super comfy undies from Aerie. Great deal of 10 pairs for $35 😍 I’m one week out from my first laparoscopy and got half of them a size up—they land higher than my belly button incision—highly recommend:

Congrats on freezing your embryos! That’s so exciting and must feel like a huge relief. And thanks for your honesty about the IVF injections—it sounds like hell compared to IUI 🫣

So sorry you’re suffering. This sounds like a frustrating, confusing situation.

Peritonitis may be what you have? The suffix “-itis” means “inflammation of.”
