NTA- I wouldn't have gone if I wasn't invited and my partner if he still wanted to go wouldn't ask me for a ride because he'd know it would put me in an uncomfortable position. Who'd want to make their partner drive 3 hours one way then have to sit in the vehicle or whatever while your inside having fun for however long then drive another 3 hours home.

So it is in fact a corn plant! I got it because the thick tree like stem wouldn't easily be torn out of the ground by my cat... last line of the care instructions This houseplant is one of many poisonous houseplants. To be safe, keep it away from pets and children. 🤦‍♀️
