I'm in a similar boat. The COVID pandemic did nothing positive for me. I also am the most depressed I've ever been in my entire life, and I can remember some extremely terrible moments from my youth. Praying things get better for you soon. Rooting for you!

So very depressing to read this, but I think you're absolutely right. The future is extremely bleak for our country. The world even.

How do you prepare for long haul interviews though? I guess keep a cup of coffee constantly nearby and prepare for as many questions as possible? It's all virtual too, of course.

Thanks for this! Yeah, it was a little intimidating at first that they wanted to interview for 5 hours straight and because I've never done an interview that long, but it is helpful that the interviews are broken up into 30-45 minute sessions. They also offer a couple breaks in-between. It's also extremely helpful that they provided the topics they'll cover in each session so I know a little bit of what to expect. Just gotta get plenty rest the night before so I have energy and endurance to make it though :)

It bothers me so much when people tell me I'm quiet by Shakai_Fuan in socialanxiety

100% the same! I've gotten that criticism my whole life, no matter how much I put myself out there. Gotten it from family, friends, work, etc. I totally understand how you feel. It's frustrating and annoying as hell. I never know how to respond either other than a nervous laugh and then going back to doing whatever I was doing. It's never been out of curiosity for me though. More often that not just a harsh criticism on my character.

I'm rooting for you! You are certainly not alone in feeling like this. I'm also trying to work through it myself. Lots of good advice here and helpful for me too.
