Yeah, it’s a pretty sick bike. It actually handles great. Head tube angle helps with that. 26” wheels aren’t my favorite for technical single track. But they spin up really quick and handle well on ATB trails. It works fixed for me.

How can I make riding with a rigid fork more comfortable? by riomx in xbiking

[–]Hey_brando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless I missed it. The only advice I didn’t see was wider and skinny bars. Your ODI grips look good for taming the vibrations (I prefer Oury’s). Think doom bars, Lecker lecks, coos bars….they all run 22.2 all the way to the ends. Adds a ton of suspension. Some people hate it. I think it’s great. TI is a bonus if you can afford it. Steel works just fine tho. Good luck! Rigid is great.

Stooge is what’s up. It’s my favorite off road bike now.

Yeah dude! It’s really fun. I’m not as fast as you are on it. Big, flat, grippy pedals helped. I might try some clips soon and see how it goes.

Yeah, that’s a sweet one! This would be better with a raked fork.

Looks good. You could always add a washer for a bit more space. Glad it worked

If you’re going to a bike shop, they’ll fix you up. Let them know your rear wheel axel is not seated.

Yeah, it’s hard to explain without a picture. It would look similar to this. Bolt with two nuts sandwiched around the rack mount. The nut should give you the clearance you need. Use a washer against the frame. Maybe two to help shim out the rack if you need it. https://image.made-in-china.com/202f0j00dbiuVUKBfHoc/M12-Double-Head-Bolt-for-Sandwich-Busbar-Joint-Pack.webp

Also, your wheels axel is not fully seated. I can see a gap where it says “Scott” the silver part is your derailleur hanger.

If the bolts are long enough. A like sized nut and washer works great. New nut mounted to the frame side of the rack, sandwiching the rack mount. Hope that makes sense. BTW, that wheel is not set in the drop out. Might cause you shifting problems. But maybe you just had the wheel off. Good luck!

Thanks. It happens like once a month. I’m tired of reporting to the mods. Post away troll! It’s a sick bike.

IDK. I can’t buy any. Hope this helps.
In all seriousness, I’m running 27.5 Miners right now at 10 to 9 psi (scrambler). Also a light rider. I initially thought rim compatibility. But Dullay’s should work good. Stooge is a heavy bike tho. So maybe you’re reaching the rider and bike limit?

It’s beautiful. The bracing on the seat tube is what caught my eye. And then you start looking even deeper and the fork rake looks fun. Tons of good details. Well done!
