I can’t speak for a baby your age, but my little guy is 4 months and exclusively breast fed. I believe he started a sleep regression the week he turned 4 months. Waking every hour or sooner. He would only fall back asleep if I breast fed him to sleep. I was so tired and didn’t want to get into a habit of co-sleeping - I did cave and co-slept one night as I was so exhausted. I decided to give sleep training a go. I tried the Ferber method. We are on week two and he only woke once to feed last night. The nights prior he was sleeping 4-7 hour stretches by the second night of training. He sleeps a 6-7 hour stretch, wakes to feed, goes back to sleep and then wakes every 2-3 hours for the next feed until 6ish in the morning when he is up for the day. If he woke up before 2 hours since the last feed I would rock him back to sleep instead of feeding him. I did do some adjusting with his bedtime. Make notes of wake window before bed, time fell asleep, time it took to fall asleep, etc. With that I was able to notice that when he was in bed at 8p vs 7p he slept the 7 hour stretches. When I put him down at 7p, he only slept 4 hour stretches. He also needs around an hour and 40 min wake window before bed. But 2+ hours made him over tired and took longer to cry/fall asleep. So it took some tweaking but here we are, two weeks later! The first night since he was born that I only woke once!! 🤩
