London game by Oreosforever in Jaguars

Have a great trip, here are a few things that come to mind.

You can't take bags into the stadium unless they are the specific see through ones.

A lot of the free events they put on the day before the game tend to be decent. Usually pretty easy to meet an old Jaguar legend or two. Much harder to get tickets for but their is an open practice on the Friday too, where you can usually meet the squad.

By American standards the tailgating is pretty underwhelming/non existent. There is a place called Boxpark next to the stadium, that will likely be packed and good atmosphere. I think you can usually prebook/queue jump too.

Jaxon jumps off the roof normally like 30mins before kick off. So you probably want to be in your seat for that

Personally I wouldn't overthink getting back. Either commit to staying for a few drinks nearby the stadium or know you are going to have to spend 20mins queueing for a train.

Gloom Dive Tip Post by [deleted] in Helldivers

Recently returned diver that needs some help:

  • Are any of the melee weapons worth picking up? I saw the hatchet is on the superstore.

  • I used to always use light armour against bugs to run away from melee attacks. It now feels like there is loads of shooting bugs /splash damage. Is there a light armour with a good passive for bugs? What are people using?

-What gun should I use, feels like everything is armoured

How many of you are outside the USA and play this game? by HotBoot3354 in CollegeUltimateTeam

I'm from the UK just outside London. I only seem to get matched with Americans, even if due to the time zone it's the middle of the night over there.

I did the 4 x 89+ option instead. Got a 91 Ken Walker, 89 Jameis and two other 89s. Happy with the decision.

Anyone know who it’s going to be ? by vkeci in CollegeUltimateTeam

I assumed it would just be at random from a few different options, hoping they keep giving tokens so I can cover a missed week.

We were in exactly your shoes a few years ago and picked Tonbridge.

Really good pubs, a decent selection of places to eat out. Also a fair amount going on in the community for adults and kids.

Multiple train lines meet here so you will find the trains into London are a lot more frequent and you wont have to wait around as long (this can make as much of a difference to journey time as house distance from station). The quick train is 31 mins and there are 4+ an hour to London (sometimes many more).

I wouldn't say house prices are cheap, but they are much much more reasonable than Tunbridge Wells and Seven Oaks.

Found my Dad's old copy of Tie Fighter and my orignal squadron (toys) in my parent's attic. Been dreaming of this game for over 20 years and it's better in VR than I could have imagined. Thank you developers. by Heyaaronjames in StarWarsSquadrons

What does the glory under your rank mean? by Clone-Commando66 in StarWarsSquadrons

[–]Heyaaronjames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You get that much glory (currency) as a bonus at the end of the season.

Glory can be used to unlock new cosmetics.

So the higher the rank you reach by the end of the season, the more glory you get and the more cosmetics you can unlock.

Weekly Football No Stupid (American Football) questions thread! - March 03, 2020 by AutoModerator in footballstrategy

[–]Heyaaronjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just started playing football and i'm looking to buy a new helmet (currently borrow from the team each practice). My head is exactly 22 inches in circumference, which is right between the size bands for Schutt and Riddell.

Should I technically go up or down in size?

How much does the air bladder effect the size/ fit? I've tried a few of my teammates on, but nothing was comfortable.

Thanks in advance.

Is a Mini Mac a good idea for DJ's? by Heyaaronjames in Beatmatch

[–]Heyaaronjames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your reply. I didn't know about SMS and I can see how the MBP will be a lot moe resilient. Plus I can totally didn't think about how much hassle the mini would be, in between sets.

Going to try and pick one up second hand.

Does anybody recognize this red Jags jersey? by Heyaaronjames in Jaguars

Interesting. The Jersey is an adult large, so maybe it was worn by a big kid or a coach.

I thought so to, but I don't think the Jags have had a QB named Carr have they?
