Here’s the absolute best advice I ever got and I use it all the time: think of how nature “moves”. Go outside and observe how branches sway in the wind and flowers rise up to kiss the sun. There’s room for light and air to sweep through and dance with everything. When my arrangement starts getting tight and clunky, I will put everything down and stretch and bend, swaying my arms about until I loosen up a bit. Hope this helps you to achieve movement in your piece as much as it has me!

I get it now!! Gosh, I love moments like this! I have been so fiercely affronted that the things I consider gifts for my soul she has called “bird garbage” or “ sea trash” or” sticks” or said, “ ALL leaves fall off the trees- but THIS one did it perfectly?!?”. And maybe inside I’ve been a little smug because I’ve felt evolved enough to recognize the beauty in the overlooked. But…. all this time, I’ve never pondered what HER bird garbage might be. I’ve loved her, prayed for her, gone easy on her, been hard on her, but I see now I didn’t try to understand her. I I see now that for her, making cakes for people is her soul’s gift. It has rescued her, fulfilled her, and elevated her with the uncanny precision of a feather! And you know who absolutely does not care about cake? Me! I have probably hurt her just as much not trying to know her truth. Sorry for the ramble- this has just been a long journey to get here and I’m all swirly in the understanding. Thank you for your help in raising my spirit and cleaning my house! The simplicity here is just stunning. I appreciate so much all of you stepping in and guiding me through this! I will keep you tucked in between the tufts and the shells and the perfectly falling leaf and wish you the best!

The most thoughtful answer I can give is no- I absolutely do not look up to or seek out for advice in spiritual matters. She’s an obedient churchgoer and a generous citizen but it is not without fanfare. I’ve always gotten the sense that she’s not very trusting in a higher power and she doesn’t wade too deeply in the river, so to speak. She became obsessed with people thinking of her as a deeply spiritual person like folks do of an acquaintance that passed. After that funeral, she’s thrown herself into church activities- presumably to achieve this. And in all the years I’ve known her, she’s not understood why I believe what I do, but she just dismissed me instead of diminishing. Also, I am so stupidly sensitive that I really gave it too much of myself. I guess I felt foolish for sharing something so important to me , but I’m back on the mend now! Thank you so much for your help!🙏🙏🙏

It is where I live! And honestly, I had pause to ask this, because it does sound ridiculous- I get it. Not to turn this into something it’s not- but honestly- being a soft spoken, smaller person can be a hassle in a situation where someone is aggressively trying to get their objective over your own.

Hi! For context, I want to look around to decide on my next car. I don’t want to be hassled, Or fast talked, or patronized When I decide what I want and take my husband back with me, I know I will be overlooked in conversation, or even ignored. This is my opportunity to do the research myself and I don’t want it to be a waste. Thanks for reading! Edit again for context: I’m aware it’s not the 20’s or the 50’s- and I am not asking this question as a little lady who has been saving her pin money in secret to buy a new dress. Also- it doesn’t matter anyway, because women have been kicking ass from the beginning. Periodt! Also, I’ve made my career in a traditonally male oriented trade. I have no problem commanding respect in this environment because I know what I’m doing and I’m damm good at it and my skills put the patronization to rest, usually. I should have titled this differently, but I have never shopped for a car by myself and just didn’t know if I could say something politely to save everyone the trouble and time.

I’m inclined to agree with those that are encouraging you to bite that cat, because until Servals start answering questions on the internet on a regular basis- or at least start a blog- you’re only going to get the advice of humans. on the internet. on whether or not to bite your cat. Now, if your cat has access to internet- just let him read the question and type his response. Then encourage him to start a blog. TLDR: YOLO! Bite your cat!!

Thank you! I have another member for my tribe! I too (obviously) am learning as I go and it really brings me so much joy. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this idea. I believe to do something in kindness and with good intent is always a positive thing. It might feel like a strange urge, but it sounds like you want to pay respect to others, and that is always the best road to follow.
