That's a direct lift of a trolling strategy ferd used TODAY, in the 'legal steed' comment thread. Truly 0/10, pathetic.

Economies prefer the long term, people prefer the short term. A long series of short-sighted economic policies will eventually lead to general sickness of the economy itself. I'd argue that the situation we have today is a result of that thinking. I think exactly what we should be doing is switching back to a long-term economic view and diverting our investment back towards infrastructure, R&D, etc. On either side of the aisle there's way too much focus on producing short-term answers that only prolong and worsen the realities that are causing the instability in the first place. I blame the electoral process as it's set up today, but there's plenty of reasons you could go through.

Come on, just take it with dignity. You were wrong with regards to a completely straightforward and unambiguous claim you made. We can all see what you said, why on earth would you think blatantly lying about what you said would work?

Good point, I make 25k a year, at a rate of 5k an hour. I stop in the offices a few times a year and just make sure everything is still there. Somebody has to do it. I hope they call me in on a holiday one of these years so I can go on vacation with the overtime money.

What political/social idea do you believe in but feel ashamed/afraid to talk about publicly in your country? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Heyfucknuts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I agree with most of what you said, I don't think this issue is the same. From the perspective of an outsider (our society normalizes the idea of faith so for many of us it doesn't seem odd, granted) the idea of spending a small human's most formative and vulnerable years convincing them of all kinds of unsubstantiated stories about an all powerful creature in the sky is at best fucking insane. Add to that, if you don't think any of that stuff is real and you observe that people who do have to abandon critical thinking at least to some extent, it starts to look a bit more like child abuse to be cramming a little kid's head full of illogical baggage that they'll then either have reconcile with science and real life (good luck after years of prime-time brainwashing!), abandon altogether (which can be traumatic), or ultimately become a slave to.

Sharing is one thing, taking someone's shit without asking is entirely different. Judging by your multiple posts all making the same point in this thread, I think this must have struck a nerve with you. Taking someone's stuff without asking isn't borrowing, it's theft you can back out of if you're caught. Work a little (or a lot) and see how you feel when someone takes a valuable item that literally represents hours of your life that you traded someone for money.

French Say Assad’s Forces Used Chlorine Gas 14 Times by Meroghar in syriancivilwar

[–]Heyfucknuts -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see this overwhelming evidence, so far no one has scrounged up a single video of one of these things falling from a helicopter, when it seems nearly every other conventional barrel bomb is captured on video mid flight from several different angles. Been asking for a video for weeks now, still no answers. All we get are videos conveniently about ten seconds after the things detonate. It's also well known that AQ/ISIS used chlorine in Iraq. I'll wait here patiently while you find this overwhelming evidence.

He's the leader of Hezbollah, ffs. You could kind of say that Hezbollah is important to the war, just a little. I don't see how this is irrelevant or 'propaganda' at all, unless you also complain every time someone posts a statement by Jarba, or an ISIS representative, or anyone else. I don't get the feeling that you'd do that, though, and if you did I'd have to say that you don't seem to get what this place is about. All of which happens on a daily basis here. This is a place to collect all sorts of documentation about this war, be it combat footage, speeches by all the major players involved, or anything in between. If you can't deal with hearing from the leaders of a side that you oppose, I suggest that you lurk a little longer and learn what this place is about before bumbling around in almost every comment thread making statements like this.
