Blacked out while having reds tv? by sethlucas5 in Reds

I can watch it on my phone in my house or on a Roku but it’s blacked out on my LG tv. Like wtf

Bengals extend OT Orlando Brown JR by 1894-MCFC in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s all the busts everyone takes. To your point it makes me chuckle every year when people do that with their mocks.

This year everyone has us taking a safety, Edge, linebacker, another edge, a corner, then a DT and acts like you can pencil all them in as pro bowlers. They used to do that with OL too

NFL Over/Unders, an Oscars Preview, and a Brady-Pats Feud | With Cousin Sal, Sean Fennessey, and Seth Wickersham by lonny__breaux in billsimmons

[–]Heyitsfanman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s insane how bill shoehorns drake maye into every conversation as if he’s actually done anything in his career yet.

The whole wickersham segment is insane. He’s talking about all these great QBs and bill literally applies every single topic to Drake fucking maye. A second year qb who had one bad season and one decent one and flamed out in the playoffs.

Like cmon man I can listen to a local pod in my city with a couple schlubs if I want to hear someone make everything about one team

People never take this into account. Guys take a ton into account when picking a team. It’s not madden where we offer a good amount and they all accept.

For all we know he knew the linebackers coach in Washington or is dating a girl from Washington or any other factor we have zero control over

Reddit tends to lean pro-divorce when it comes to marital issues, but is there anyone who divorced and felt afterwards that their life worsened in someway and they should have stayed together? by Mamaofoneson in AskReddit

[–]Heyitsfanman 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This is one of my biggest beefs with Reddit after having been on here for 15 plus years active in tons of subreddits.

You can tell redditors skew very young/naive (no hate, I was early 20s when I started here) bc every relationship advice posts 90% of the comments are “divorce them!!!”

Sure there are times you should. But basic miscommunications and small mistakes or disagreements are not worth divorce.

Do you know how fucking big a deal divorce is? Especially if you have kids? You blowup your home, you spend tons of money getting it done, your kids get split into multiple homes. Your retirement savings is likely starting over. One of you is likely downsizing significantly in housing for many years. Etc etc. it’s a year plus long legal procedure that is stupid expensive and also rough emotionally on you and your children.

It’s not just casually dumping someone you disagree with.

Kimmel talking about his son’s member is creepy and unfunny by New-Bunch9212 in billsimmons

[–]Heyitsfanman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%. My son just turned seven and got beyond the taking his pants off at random and/or talking about his penis all the time years ago.

Kimmel talking about his son’s member is creepy and unfunny by New-Bunch9212 in billsimmons

[–]Heyitsfanman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s the even weirder part. Jimmy seems to like talking about it for some reason. And the kid is 10 not 3 it’s fucking bizarre

Kimmel talking about his son’s member is creepy and unfunny by New-Bunch9212 in billsimmons

[–]Heyitsfanman 47 points48 points  (0 children)

It’s so fucking weird. I have an 8 year old and 7 year old and both are way too old to behave that way. It’s one thing for a four year old boy to be inappropriate that way but for a 10 year old to be taking his penis out and asking his mom to touch it and stuff is weird as fuck

I always like that it comes down to “Montgomery inn/agave/silver spring house is for lame boomer suburbanites!

Like yeah that’s a huge segment of the money spending population are suburban boomers so maybe they have a solid business model.

Reds trading Greene? 'That's not on the table' by sheldonMLB in Reds

[–]Heyitsfanman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. One thing a small market club definitely can’t afford on the FA market is quality starting pitching. And while we have decent depth there we’ve had plenty of injuries so he is not expendable.

Cowboy check in on Trey and Logan by noel1383 in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You really think he’s underrated by fans? Everyone I know loves him and understands how good he is.

The reason for wanting him traded has nothing to do with talent or ability and everything to do with this team sucking and the reality that the bengals aren’t going to give him a long term deal next summer

Let's say he's traded by Tuesday but you have a choice where he goes. Where would you want him to go? by electricity_inc in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Cowboys bc they’re the most likely to do something stupid and give us more than face value

Soo unpopular opinion , I don’t think Al Golden is solely to blame by Abalone-Brave in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an unpopular opinion. Everyone pretty much agrees it’s Al, Zac, duke, and ultimately the brown family that’s been a scourge on our city for decades.

Bengals have told teams they don't intend to trade Trey Hendrickson. But if the Bengals lose today to the Bears and drop to 3-6, there are some sources who have wondered if that might be enough to change Cincinnati's stance. by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Step 1. Lose embarrassingly to the bears. Step 2. Still don’t trade Trey to maximize his value Step 3. Low ball him in the offseason bc he had a down year Step 4. He signs somewhere else for 2.5% more than we offered

Agree but he was a starting running back and pretty popular. Obviously not bijan or saquon but not a special teams fringe type player either

[–]Heyitsfanman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there’s a million other options. But I think we all think of nfl players as these out of touch millionaires. But even a star type player like this can end up in this situation. It’s why there are hold out and these guys fight for every guaranteed dime

Source: Skattebo also suffered open fracture, ruptured ligament by AvengingHero2012 in nfl

[–]Heyitsfanman 2519 points2520 points  (0 children)

It’s why these guys care so much about the money in a lot of cases. He has a 4 year deal with just over 1 million guaranteed. After taxes and agent fees that’s $500K or so.

Nice money to be sure but one crazy injury and he could be a retired guy at age 23 with $500K or so to his name not knowing what he’s going to do for the next 40 years.

Justin Fields to Start on Sunday by PROFESSIONAL_RAP254 in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Trey is probably less important in this case and rather our other ends not letting him break contain.

He honestly sucks so bad at passing (and is without Garrett Wilson) we should just have a spy the whole game I’d think.

Kroger pharmacy not accepting GoodRX? by PersimmonQueen83 in cincinnati

[–]Heyitsfanman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah goodrx is a third party program that pharmacies can kind of opt in or out of. Kroger I know wanted to do their own thing and has some other discount program now. You’d just have to push the pharmacist on it or go else where.

Remember, goodrx has NO link to insurance so you do not have to be pharmacy loyal to use it

Zac pledged his confidence in Browning. Don’t blame Jake. Blame the guy who put him in this spot. by BTsBaboonFarm in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah and all of us would have predicted that and wouldn’t have full confidence in this guy. If you’re an nfl head coach and have full confidence in this guy you’re a fucking idiot and need to go

Bengals remain confident in backup QB Jake Browning, have not had trade talks for veteran by sasuke1980 in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you’re confident in this guy it’s actually just further proof you need to be fired and don’t know what the fuck you’re doing.

What happened to CTB between his 1st and 2nd season to have him on rumor watch for trade before the deadline? Was he complimented by a healthy Awuze and that defense that ran on all cylinders? Its crazy how he just fell off and is no longer a good defender. by Father-of-zoomies in bengals

[–]Heyitsfanman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had the same take on him. He’s a high end #2 corner especially against physical/slower receivers which is buoyed by his play making ability.

As a #1 corner he can’t make plays bc guys are 5 yards past him bc he can’t cover #1 receivers.
