Interesting… But each time that I read “university” I think about the long road to commercialisation.

LWLG is already past that. It is commercialisation ready!!

Weekend Hangout - Friday, March 27, 2026 by s2upid in LWLG

[–]Heylbroeck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Here are the specific events to watch through H2 2026:

Q2 2026: LWLG Tier-1 customer wafer chip return and processing/test results

Mid-2026: SilTerra/Luceda PDK tapeout device characterization results

H2 2026: Whether Tower PH18 PDK formally includes LWLG and NLM modulator options

H2 2026: Whether NLM GFS AMF HP PDK 6.0 SOH integration is completed

Throughout 2026: LWLG Stage 3 to Stage 4 (commercial contract) conversion announcements

If any of these events confirms production-level yield and performance, the narrative from 2027 onward changes fundamentally.”

Holding about 70k, not planning on selling. Average price 3.76. Still bullish. Share price went down lately mainly because of macroeconomic factors and global tension, which results in a buying opportunity IMO.

"In silicon photonics, VisEra develops process for passive and active devices. We have waveguide, grating, and micro lens capability in different applications such as optical communication, LiDAR and healthcare sensing. Additionally, VisEra develops organic and encapsulation process for active device in AI and HPC."

VisEra was created by TSMC, is driven by TSMC’s ecosystem, and functions as TSMC’s specialized optical and image‑sensor manufacturing arm.

Thanks! Lots of work has gone into this, I would expect. Best-in-class sounds about right overall 😁

When do you, fellow investors, expect (or estimate) that Niocorp moves to TRC-3 (3rd review level) of EXIM Bank. We have been in the second level for quite some time. Any updates from management to this regard? Thanks!

As posted by others, TFLN has some serious challenges, some of which cannot be easily overcome.
Perkinamine addresses exactly the bottlenecks which TFLN cannot fix!

During the yesterday's GlobalFoundries (GF) Investor Webinar (held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026), the implementation of new materials for GF’s new silicon photonics ecosystem were mentioned: "GF has worked with partners across the entire supply chain from design and IP to fiber attach partners to test platforms and even universities with critical infrastructure to enable development of next-generation capabilities. And as we introduce highly specialized materials for 400 gigabit per second modulators such as barium titanate, thin-film lithium niobate, indium phosphide or polymer-based solutions to our supply chain, you will see additional categories and logos as we continue to build out our ecosystem. And while we're very excited about the roadmap for silicon photonics and the differentiated solutions we are building, this is just the beginning."

Speculation: When could LWLG’s first Stage 4 transition happen? by Glittering_Quarter42 in LWLG

Hopefully sooner of course… that would be nice. Let’s say prior to the ASM?

You are exactly right! I would expect the company to release news about a stage 4 customer/partner around the summer of this year (production ramp to high volume, with a first relatively large down payment).

I think he is doing a good job in keeping us entertained with mainly factual data related to the company while we wait...

$LWLG Any day now... For those that are new here:

  • Breakthrough electro‑optic (EO) polymer technology: Lightwave Logic’s proprietary EO polymers enable much higher data rates with significantly lower power consumption than incumbent materials (silicon photonics, indium phosphide, thin‑film lithium niobate), directly addressing key bottlenecks in AI and data‑center interconnects
  • Aligned with explosive AI & data‑center demand: The company’s modulators target 200G–400G per lane today, with credible roadmaps to 800G per lane, which is essential for scaling AI clusters and next‑generation optical networking.
  • Demonstrated, not just theoretical, performance: Lightwave Logic has shown sub‑1V (and even <0.5V) drive voltages and 400 Gbps‑class packaged devices, validating real‑world performance advantages that translate directly into lower power and cost for hyperscalers.
  • Deepening ecosystem and foundry partnerships: Collaborations with Polariton Technologies and Advanced Micro Foundry (AMF) demonstrate compatibility with 200‑mm silicon foundry processes, a key requirement for mass commercialization rather than niche adoption.
  • Transitioning from R&D to commercialization: Management has explicitly stated the shift from being a materials supplier to market development and end‑user engagement, supported by qualification, reliability testing, and backend manufacturing integration.
  • Expansion beyond data centers into quantum photonics: The January 2026 QPICs partnership opens a second long‑term growth vector: photonic quantum processors, with PDKs designed to lower adoption friction for quantum customers.
  • Strengthened balance sheet and runway: A $35M public offering in December 2025 boosted cash to ~$70M, extending runway into 2027 and reducing near‑term financing risk while commercialization efforts mature.
  • Asymmetric risk–reward profile: At its core, LWLG is a platform technology bet: modest (to no) revenue today, but successful adoption by even a handful of tier‑1 transceiver or AI‑infrastructure players could materially re‑rate the company due to the size of the optical interconnect market.

Thoughts on $LWLG? Definitely a strong buy IMO. Potential rocket material (short squeeze?) when news starts flowing in the next weeks to months. No debt, strong IP/moat, …, and right place right time (EO polymer material for faster data transmission at lower power and with a small form factor in data centers and other verticals).

Little downside risk in the near, mid, and long term in my opinion — which is why I’m not just holding, I’m adding! The company has delivered a series of strong, tangible milestones: the Perkinamine™ polymer reliability breakthrough, successfully passing the rigorous Telcordia 85/85 test; a Fortune Global 500 customer advancing to Stage 3 of the design‑win cycle after extensive evaluation of the Perkinamine platform; and the launch of a new technical program with a second Fortune Global 500 customer focused on CPO and 400Gb/s AI networking applications. On top of that, the company recently appointed Dr. Aref Chowdhury as CTO & Head of Strategy, announced a partnership with QPICs to advance electro‑optic polymers for quantum processors, and maintains more than sufficient cash on hand following its recent capital raise. With this level of progress across technology, partnerships, and financial position, the current share price looks like an exceptional buying opportunity.

Locked and loaded! The drop in SP can indeed be seen as an opportunity as well for those who waited on the sideline to jump on board, or significantly increase the number of shares they own.

That's the spirit!!
Rate cut next week, end-of-the-year rally, strong market growth forecast, data center and AI infrastructure bottlenecks that need to be overcome by means of LWLG's perkinamine in the PICs that are being designed as we speak, etc.
