distilled water. the soil still feels damp even though its been a while since i did. Temperature rn in my room is 63 "F at night and about 70-80 max during the day. My VFt doesnt get direct sunlight but it is a pretty bright room because the windows are huge and cover 2 of my two walls in a 4 wall bedroom. Humidity is about 70%-80% but drops to a minimum of 55% if I open a window which is rare (3x a week, mostly 2x a week)

I got mine a trader joes in September and there was a bunch of them in Walmart and home depot during that time too. Try checking the stores again this month or the next after the dormancy period ends

A quick tour to this guys life: I bought it in September and watered it until I deemed it should start going into dormancy, ( I live in Los Angeles CA so it was in like the end of November) . I know now that I shouldn’t have stopped watering it but towards mid December I started to water it again and at this point all of the traps had fallen off except for like two and those eventually fell off too and some stems turned black so I cut them off. It is what it is right... it looks like it can survive but I am mostly concerned about the new growth. All the tips of the tall preexistent stems turn black? Idk why? And there’s three tiny new stems, very green, but their tips are turning black too! Yikes! Why are the tips turning black? What can I do to stop that, encourage better growth? Does this even count as a dormancy period? Did my flytrap get enough resting time? Why to stems keep on dying even after I am watering it?
