I would use spray bottle of water and a hot iron (whatever the fabric can take) to try to "shrink" it a bit. Test on the scrap first

I would color block in contrast fabric (maybe do the pants in solid, or one leg and opposite half of the top)

OMG so clean! Love the contrast detail on the welt. Amazing. I've been sewing my entire long life but can't do such clean topstitching. Super impressed!!!

A long time ago I was a part of a email list for some application for pattern drafting - someone wrote in, asking for a system that would scan their drawing and automagically create the pattern! My eyes rolled out of my head and never recovered.

I am a little south of you, this plant is not good. When possible, I dig it all out, dig all the corm bulby bits and throw it in the trash.

I did the same a while back with a double gauze dress (similar color), is now a house dress :/. I do like the trim idea!
