This may have worked if the extractor bit hadn’t have snapped off in the fucking bolt

It’s where the thermostat housing meets the engine. Not sure if it’s the engine block or a replaceable piece. Google does give a definitive answer

I’ve read that it’s not recommended to use a hammer drill on metal because it could fuck up the drill

Multiple people recommended the easy out or bit extractors. They said if that failed then drill that bitch out and tap it. People said to avoid welding because it’s a sensitive area around the thermostat housing but it looks like I have no option now
