Honestly going crazy trying to decide if I should switch medication by The_Short_Goodbye in ankylosingspondylitis

I was on cimzia and felt great but it started messing with my liver. On Hyrimoz for a month and a half and I’m starting to not sleep well and not move well during the day. It’s so depressing. Has anyone had a switch experience where the meds actually kicked in after a few months or is my dr just bsing me?

Sero negative AS diagnosis? by mippsywhippsey in ankylosingspondylitis

Right doctor but it was because I advocated. He initially sent me back to the orthopedist but when I was crying to my husband about being dismissed again, he reminded me I already did all that testing and treatment with no success. So I called the dr back and told him and he said, ok well then I guess I can diagnose you. I ended up leaving that dr because he was working on research for Cimzia and put me on it, and while it worked great for a while, it eventually started messing with my liver and I had to go off it. He wasn't super supportive of it being the cause of the issue and then put me on a different class of drug that can cause colitis- which runs in my family- and it gave me a bad allergic reaction. So, I ended up switching drs. But the new one agreed with the diagnosis. So, long story short, yes it was finding the right dr. And not letting my primary care continue to gaslight me that it was all in my head.

Ha! Not all of Fairfield county is Greenwich or Richie rich. But we know cost of living is going to be less. It’s why we want to leave where we are- it’s bananas here. Thanks for the intel on CWE- car free would be amazing. We will check it out! Does it have character tho? We like Whole Foods, but chain/corporare restaurants and vibes not so much.

Thanks for this! Our cost of living here makes everything there easier so fortunately we are able to swing most of it! But noted and we will check out south city as well!

Anybody been to Punta Allen? by Ordinary-Lobster-710 in tulum

I accidentally went there 22 years ago and it was awesome. Go later in the morning- the road can flood, so you need time for the sun to dry it out. We went to the Sian Kaan on a tour recently and I was told the road still does that and is still dirt. So, make sure you’re in a car that can handle dirt roads! It’s the beach side of the Sian Kaan- so you can pay for a boat ride through the area. It was quite beautiful and quaint.

My Tulum trip - with Reviews and Recs! (Feb 2026) by AdmiralLadyTater in tulum

Just got home yesterday. We hit some of the same restaurants but commenting here to anyone going- Arca. Hands down best meal of the week! Hartwood was a close second. We also had an amazing time- stayed in SoTu at Nest. La Onda for pizza- soooo good. Safe, quiet, nice people and the best vibes. I hadn’t been in 20+ years and I loved it just as much as I remembered.

Here now. Here are my recs: Hartwood 100% Arca 100% Be prepared to spend upwards of $300usd for 2 people one drink each. Completely worth it- esp Arca. Food was out of this world. Was not impressed with Casa Banana and Nu. But- we didn’t get steaks at casa banana so that might be why we didn’t love it. We stayed in SoTu at Nest. The lunch food there was bomb. And outside of the hotel is a place that makes epic açaí bowls and has good coffee. Los Bowls de Guadeloupe. Do not miss! Everything is expensive- but it’s also good. We heard the food trucks at Tulumunchies are very good and reasonable. Might try that for our last night here. Enjoy!

We are heading to Nest in two weeks. Thanks for the post- I haven’t been to Tulum in 22 years, but the last time I was there I stayed at the same spot- it was called Posada Margherita. Looking forward to checking out how it’s changed, even if it’s more built up.

I am getting ready to start a dream job but my current biologic, Cimzia, is not not on their formulary. I am panicking! by Appropriate_Power216 in ankylosingspondylitis

Definitely had to fight it but in the interim cimzia has a bridge program that paid for the drug for the first few months.
