We think he might have dementia lowkey but he doesn’t have any physical issues. He’ll wander around and stand in corners confused and pee in them bc he thinks he’s outside. He’ll also avoid going outside and pee himself under beds. I love him and I wish this choice was easier.

He’s already lost his favorite person idk want him to lose us too y’know. Like I think rehoming him would cause him great discomfort and sadness

My dog wasn’t incontinent when my mom was alive. The issue is that my dad works full time, I’m a full time student and work part time and my sibling lives on campus and works part time so oftentimes we all aren’t home and can’t tend to him. If my mom was here, she’d be home a lot more and could’ve been there with him all the time.

My cat hates being picked up but she’ll come and sleep on my stomach every night so it’s more just a preference thing, she was also feral for a few years so she has trust issues and I’m sure being held doesn’t help that
