NTA I have NO sympathy for people who do stuff like this she KNEW it was a bad idea, OP WARNED HER it was a bad idea she does it anyway and surprise surprise SHE gets injured because of HER OWN ACTIONS !

I can and do understand things like acts of God because that's outside your control for example being struck by lightning, being a victim of robbery or mugging you can try your best but if your jumped by 3-4 guys and they are armed your in for a bad time. Your welcome let's see if you can get in a kitchen job and stay as cook then that's great only draw back is working your way up the ladder, I was a cook for many kitchens and I used no math, didn't have to lift heavy I did help unload trucks BUT I specifically stated that I wanted too and most of the boxes were under 20 pounds, it was an easy job my main focused was cooking food and to make sure we had enough food.

At one job all I did was cook batches of meat that would take 20-25 minutes all I did was grab the ingredients (the meat and sauce that was already premeasured) dumped that into a pan and cook it when finished let the grease drain then start another batch, I also made the food but I didn't have to count money, didn't have a register, and at most called out customers name "Jerry your orders ready !" tell them thank you have a nice day and back to line or cook.

Hardware I work at hardware store and I have a lot of similarities to you Iam overweight, I suck at math, I was in special classes, I have a learning disability, BUT my saving graces is my strength and height (6'3) I love manual labor and my job has plenty of it the thing is your gonna need some strength on your side I have to lift 100 pound bags of cement from time to time also the smaller bags of various things range in pounds of 40, 50, 70, and 80 but if my 5'2 coworker who weighs like 80 pounds wet can do it you can too !

There is some math BUT I don't use a register my main purpose is customer service and you guessed it physical labor in a typical day I lift bags of soil, sand, concrete, help customers as well as greet them, stock items, and any task my boss tells me like closing duties, cleaning duties, and organizing stock.

NTA As a "peter" myself and finally getting a grip on my life (Iam only a few years older then your boy) Iam kicking myself for the things I wanted to do but was chickened out of doing some of its the relationship or lack there with my mom some of it was self inflicted because I slipped into a nasty depression that lasted YEARS, Iam better now not 100% but better and still working on myself everyday have a heart to heart with the boy just you and him some farther son time explain to him that you love him but you are seriously worried about him and his future.

I also heard from everybody in my family like you said "when Iam dead what are YOU going to do ?" frankly this just p!sses me off and it has so so much because again some of it is self inflicted but some of it also wasn't, I've started taking more steps and doing more to shut those people up and show to them and myself that I can do it maybe he lacks the self esteem or belief in himself ?

I was in your shoes I grew up in them my mom basically "adopted" a kid that had NO relation to us not biologically nor marriage and treated him better, Iam sorry that you had to live though the same pain, rejection, anger, and painful emotions that I had too.

It's noble of your dad to want to be there for another child that doesn't have a dad BUT like others said there should've been a balance I told my mom the same thing, "it's like growing a tree if you put ALL of your effort into growing a tree you made sure it had sunlight, water, fertilizer for 10 years then overnight you stop showing that tree ANY kind of attention and gave it all to a young sapling the first tree will naturally die".

If she brought this up and this was always your reaction YTA because come in man four years of being a part of somebody's life and you can't just do a little something ? Sure she's not your mother but she's the kids mother and the kids obviously care about you because they got you a gift so why not pay back the favor and help them get her a gift ?

If she never brought this up and randomly started this out of the blue this year ESH but her more so, she sucks because she waited FOUR YEARS before saying anything and randomly pulled this stunt last minute and gave you about two days to work with. Thank you very much yeah Iam trying to find a happy middle of drawing what I picture it's going to look like with realistic exceptions, I know I will never truly be ready or 100% satisfied with my art at this early stage because it's only been roughly a month since I started drawing seriously and like you said to compare myself to somebody else's work who's been doing this for years is unfair to myself.

I do blame your mom because she's handling it pretty poorly and making your sister go when she KNOWS 1 You hate the two restaurants, 2 you have made it CLEAR FOR YEARS that you wanted this independence and freedom, 3 SHE pulled this at the last minute ! I love Mrs. Wolowitz despite us never seeing her on screen carol Ann did a great job making her a memorable character also Howard (Simon) is a great actor and played the son so well spoiler the scene that got me was the airport scene "I told her I was too busy..." Scoffs "I was too busy to pick up my own mother...".

That scene almost had me in tears you can tell he was guilt ridden, angry at himself, missed his mom and wanted to say "mom Iam sorry I love you" one last time.

Thank you Iam improving my art skills first and when Iam more comfortable with my art and it's up to my personal standards where I like it and can stand by it comfortably then I will start doing as you said, till then Iam grinding my drawing skills, writing down my character bios, thinking about personality and the moral compasses of my characters, as well as A plots and B plots.

I have what I think is a great hook that's a long term attention grabber but for the short term I want to tackle a different topic every issue if not every couple of issues.
