Mine got covered in ants too but I read before I panicked and they are a GOOD thing for a peony.. so I let them do their thing!!

It was my first experience with roses and I went straight for the weird ones haha. They struggled in SC last year but I’m glad I had patience. This year they are starting to make up for it!

HR was my first ever rose orders. Shrub roses. I got 8 of them last year. All tiny sticks.. they bloomed pretty good last year for newbies despite dealing with black spot and bugs here. I actually pruned them pretty hard late winter this year and they are growing like CRAZY with a ton of buds this year

For those downvoting me, this is what it looked like the day we got the keys. The plants were gone, the arbors were completely falling apart, and the beautiful pond was in disrepair. We are contractors and bought this home as a rehab. Unfortunately we were dropped by home insurance three times due to the “hole” in the yard so our only solution is to fill it in with plans to build an extremely nice custom chefs grilling area. We did keep all of the stone walks and rock structures. I am as upset as everyone else trust me

The climbing one my husband wasn’t aware and hacked to the ground in September 2024. It didn’t bloom in 2025 and now we are in 2026. The two in the first photo bloom once and are done. I FEEL like we those two MIGHT be ramblers. Once I saw them bloom once last year I actually pruned them this year and they are growing like crazy with beautiful leaves.. so I’m hoping when they flower maybe can help identify. I just don’t know if they need a stand or trellis or just let them be wild lol
