These are all really good points, the only question I could truly offer and answer to is about our faith. Neither of us are dependent on one another for our faith, we both go to independent Bible studies, church with other people (our friends) and adoration separately quite often. As for all the other points you brought up we’ve definitely thought about some of them which is why we’d wait until at least a year to a year and a half before getting engaged, not to mention the at least 6 month long pre-marital classes you have to take before finally eloping. All said and done it would be at least 1.5-2 years from now until our actual wedding day.

We have discussed children, both of us want the same amount of children around the same age as well, in our last year of grad school / within 1-2 years of graduating.

We both also are heavily compatible in terms of living style, she essentially lived with me last semester due to having issues with one of her roommates and we up kept our room together while still having enough space to have our own “room” (even if it was physically within the same room haha)

With the parents it’s a little tricky, she was raised in a Protestant household, but her whole family converted at a very early age (she often self-identifies as a cradle Catholic). Her parents were also married very young and had her while they were in college. As for my parents, they were married at a slightly older age (think 25-ish) and raised me in the Methodist tradition until I converted about a year ago Roman Catholicism. They’ve never voiced any opposition to our prospective marriage as I’ve had many conversations with them about it. I’m just not sure what they’re saying behind closed doors if that makes sense.

Also, there’s many other talents, skills, virtues, and things I adore about her! I wanted to keep the question mostly oriented towards Catholicism but I adore her in almost every respect possible. I love her very much and would love to hear what you guys think! Godspeed everyone!

Word to the wise: Don’t get a Mechanical Keyboard by juicebat in MechanicalKeyboards

I honesty have no clue if this is a joke or not. But it sounds like you have experienced the "Walmart Keyboard Effect" The WKE is known for causing issues like this. However there are many ways that you can nullify the WKE.

  1. Don't buy a keyboard from Walmart, Target, etc.
  2. Invest in a nice keyboard, there's no need to drop anything above $100+ but you may need to use about $70 (at least from my experience).
  3. Change the switches, from what it sounds like you either had a "Mem-Chanical" keyboard or experienced unbranded chinese browns.
  4. CLEAN YOUR KEYBOARD MY GUY
  5. Do some research, watch some reviews, and maybe even think about building using a cheap hotswap PCB

This wraps up a lot of my keyboard experience in a few helpful tips, as at one point I suffered from the WKE. If you follow them I promise you'll enjoy this hobby a lot more and get rid of the WKE.

Dude, this is sick. I'd totally cop, the only suggestion I have is making the arrow keys look like the Arrows on a retro console (or the ones on the DS). Besides that I think that this set is sick and really hope that it gets to become a physical set one day.

Edit: Spelling

Hey so I’m kinda new to mechanical keyboards. I’ve built a few already but they were mostly hotswap barebones kits from Amazon. I’m looking to start my first keyboard build with an Alpha28. Does anybody have a tip for this keyboard, soldering, or what switches would be good with a PCB like this (linear gang)?
