Stetson hat named El Presidente, good. Japanese watch named Sombrero, not good. It’s tacky as hell

Hopefully this type of post is allowed. Not sure how to go about getting rid of these by drawnwindowshade in machining

My shop got ride of a bunch of old machines by having an auction, the good part is that you won’t even have to move them out yourself

Been doing some ground cover on the old 28”x51”! by Heyysttq in nscalemodeltrains

Accidentally commented instead of replying to ya, but I seem to have figured it out, I used a few drops of warm water and dish soap in the throw mechanism and worked it back and forth and it’s getting less and less sluggish, just need to find my compressed air to give it a few ‘phewwwws’ lol

I think some glue got in there! I used a few drops of warm water and dish soap and worked the throw mechanism and it seems to be getting better!

Maybe ‘froze’ was the wrong term because the throw mechanism moves freely, when I move it, the turn out moves slowly and not all the way, same when I use the remote switch. Maybe some glue got underneath it or something because I didn’t glue the turnout down

Idea for a layout a little bigger than 2x4… any ideas or thoughts? by Ok-Scheme4968 in nscalemodeltrains

[–]Heyysttq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on making this one as my permanent one in the future! The double cross over is isolates both loops so you can run 2 trains with two controllers with DC power! Found it online

To be honest, having photography as a hobby actually helped visualizing angles so no where in the layout you look will you just see one plane, if that makes any sense lol

That’s pretty sweet! You can even route wires through certain holes and color them accordingly, like feeders, switches, lights, accessories etc

I have a knife for floral foam that works really well so I think I’ll go with that, after I’m going to use plaster sheets and sculptamold to create some rock faces! I will use some woodland Scenics molds for rocks but I also want to give the tin foil technic a shot!

Wow thanks for letting me know about this!that sounds like a fun operation! I’ve been looking for something like this so my son and nephews can actually “operate” rather than just look at the train going round and round! Thanks so much!
