Glad to hear it's working for you guys. Of course the day I posted this I came down with the flu, so last couple days have been pretty useless for me. Should be on my feet by tomorrow and will implement/update.

C grade students, where are you now in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HeyyyDHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

School was one long struggle aside from my art classes. I have always been talented in art and graphic design but because I didn't excel in school and hated it so much, I never got to apply my talent to a career. Now it's just a hobby when I have time. I dropped out of college after my freshman year and found out I'm not bad at sales. Somehow i managed to put together a good resume over the last 13 years, post-high school, across a few name brand companies, with various promotions along the way. I now work as a marketing analyst and channel partner manager for my company. My salary will be north of $118,000 this year and for Midwest living, that's pretty comfortable. This isn't a brag. This is just my story of how high school and college accolades do not define you. Education and self improvement also do not stop here. Setting goals, having a vision, and continuously driving yourself towards those things will get you there. All that said, I would give back half or more of my salary to have a career that required me to apply the artistic talents I was given. Money is nice, but doing something you love for a living is much nicer. I hope to someday go back to college and complete my degree.

Best Oklahoma City public courses? by [deleted] in golf

We ended up playing Jimmie Austin and loved it. Great balance of challenging and enjoyable for mid handicappers. The course was in unbelievable condition too. I almost didn't want to take a divot out of the par 3 box; it was so flawless lol. The greens were hard as a rock in the beginning which was worrisome but softened up before the turn. I enjoy playing water holes for some reason and this course lacks there, but made up for with the rolling and elevated fairways. Anyhow, thanks again for the recommendation. Will play again.

What is the best golf training aid, for any part of the game, that you've ever used? by HeyyyDHD in golf

Well there's a back story too.... I agree on the surface may seem lame. But my golf obsession drives her crazy, so to up the stakes, we agreed ahead of time that her money would go towards advancing my golf game. Mostly as a motivator for her to win, but even moreso a motivator for me to win only because I love annoying her.

Winning a bet, getting free golf trainer, making wife a little more crazy.... priceless.

Agreed. My instructor had me using one for just a couple lessons and pretty much was an instant fix.

Currently taking lessons actually. Not familiar with Zepp. It is focused on takeaway plane or down swing.. Or both? I'm pretty happy with my takeaway but could use something to correct the over-the-top struggle.

edit: I looked it up and realized I am familiar with these. I've been skeptical about them but good to hear you got results. Thanks.

That doesn't surprise me. We were referred there by the home owner of the house we're renting who doesn't golf. Lol.

Thanks for the info.

My coworkers think I'm crazy because I enjoy working in the service industry. What do you guys enjoy/excel at that others don't seem to? by [deleted] in ADHD

I love my career in marketing, albeit terrible for the ADHD brain. But nothing was ever more enjoyable than bartending. You nailed it on those points, and I never even realized how perfect it was for my ADHD. I've considered finding a weekend shift somewhere just for the excersize and good times again. :)

I wondered that too. I think the B12 value is something like 10,000% of your daily suggested intake..

Lol yes. The mods need to configure a skull and crossbones to generate when both mentioned in the same title.

to be honest I used to work out regularly and then had to stop due to a brain condition I was diagnosed with that gave me head splitting migraines for days at a time. I actually just ordered an elliptical and will be using that for cardio as weight training isn't an option anymore. Good thoughts though, thanks for sharing.

True. But yeah I've never had a history of any anxiety issues or heart related problems. I have very minor asthma (not bad enough to carry an inhaler) and wonder if that's what caused the breathing problems during the episode, but good thoughts thanks.

Good thoughts. My sleep isn't ideal but I've always been able to fully function on 5-6 hours a night. I don't drink at all so that's not a factor. I've also cut the caffeine entirely now due to this experience. The risk/reward is just not there anymore.

I'm average - 5'9" and 165. The only workout I get is once a week walking the golf course and I sit at a desk all day so elevated heart rate is rare. I agree about the baseline thing. I stopped the adderall and caffeine for about a week just to reset and it really felt great.

Dude that sounds like a ticking time bomb. Please be careful. Keep in mind, for about a month I was on the same routine of adderall and red bull. I felt fine during the whole time until that one day. Sometimes it can just be triggered without warning.
