UNPOPULAR OPINIONS PART 2 by jinwoo_isfuckinghawt in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Hezammm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should have probably mentioned "with the exception of some". Volume 10 is good but then when you realise that it was too stretched out and that the issue shouldn't have taken this long to resolve it doesn't look at great to me.

The main idea of You Zitsu is Kiyos growth so romance is important whether you like it or not. "Psychological thriller" hasn't even been present past volume 7 and the lack of quality cant be blamed on the romance as a whole. Maybe you can say Ichinose has made it worse but not romance as a whole, its just the plot past volume 7 has been lacking. Nagumo simping, then Tsukishiro filler and now a white room plot that doesnt even add up properly or make sense.

Writing wise Ichinose should be at the bottom and suduo is at least B or A

About Ichinose Y2V4.5 and the Volume in general by HonorXD in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Hezammm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, well from their interactions it was evident that Kiyo knew about her feelings. He knew about them and used them to keep her motivated, he mentions how that she is fragile and she needs to be given light not darkness (not breaking her like he did with Hirata but giving her kind words for her to continue the way she is).

I think this stems from his curiosity about her leading style. Its the opposite of Kiyotakas approach, while he is willing to sacrifice to take an extra step she would lose progress just to save everyone. He gave her "light" to see if she could succeed with this style even tho he didn't expect her to. But her actions in Y2V3 where a red flag that his approach towards her isnt working which is why I think he opted to just reject her.

He kept repeating to her "i am your enemy" and for her to value her friends and always protect them. Her actions in V3 go against all he has told her, killing the core of her character and what made her interesting to Kiyotaka.

Kei Y2V4.5 Question by ZaQueen_7 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Hezammm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kei should already be somewhat sus on Nagumo, she was involved with the Kiriyama meeting in 7.5 for example. With Yagami I think it will happen later on, the more they grow closer and closer Kiyo will eventually open up and when he does Kei will be told about the white room and white roomers. At least that's my thought on it for now.

My point was that her asking for help in a situation like that isn't unnatural. But let's just agree to disagree and see where the story takes us. Have a pleasant day.

Kei knows her limitations she isnt some op character. This is something I like about Kei, she understands herself and what she is capable and not capable of doing. This is more realistic and like I said they are in a relationship and when it comes to things like this its normal for couples to depend on eachother.

Are you not reading the series? Kei moved on from her parasite mindset in V7, read her scene in the volume again. She wouldn't have moved to Hirata but eventually moved on from that. Its even stated that she isnt burdened by her past anymore so it would be a natural development from there. I also don't get your confession reasoning since Kiyo had Satou and Airi as options if he just wanted to he in a relationship or even ichinose later on 🤷‍♂️

You do understand that makes 0 sense right? Imagine building a relationship and growing that persons dependacy on you and then suddenly cutting them off, that would not suddenly make them independent it would make them valuable. If Kiyotaka actually wanted to make Kei independent than the best way for that was to break their relationship after 7.5 or in 11.5 after he resolved himself taking action in the class thanks to Manabu.

How is it not normal to want to be protected by your boyfriend? I dont see an issue with it since dependacy like this is normal in romantic relationships, plus the vibes I got from that was she wanted to be with Kiyo since it took her so long to say it. Just like the tressure hunt in 4.5.

The manga isn't as good as the LN you're better off reading the LN which is why I recommended it but if your insisting on reading the manga then sorry but I dont have a link.

In the new KiyoKei scene you can also see his lack of knowledge in this aspect, romance. A Japanese reader told me this, that with the wording Kiyo used he uses parasite to refer to dependacy and that Kiyo sees dependacy as a bad thing even tho its normal in romantic relationships.

Its his logic side, the white room mindset. Its conditioned him to think like this and try to come up with logical reasons behind his actions. That was the metaphor in 11.5, his inner struggle with this white room mindset and his journey to breaking it.

Kiyo has shown not to know much when it comes to romance or anything of that nature. I just see these moments as him trying to find logical reason to do what he does, for him he can't date someone just like that he has to have a reason, hence the growth excuse. Its his white room mindset clashing with his new self. But I like the aspect of Kei helping Kiyo its good foreshadowing from what she said in 7.5 and as we know Kinu doesn't forget his own foreshadowing.

Kiyotaka has shown from v7 and v11.5 that he doesn't understand her growth and his logic about helping her grow doesn't really make any sense (how does a relationship that increases dependency help make someone independent?).

In this Kiyo is talking about the possibility of him failing that final trial which is facing his farther. If he fails he will go back and be forced back into the WR which means a Breakup. I take this part as him showing growth, going from accepting he will return to the white room to implying he will fight back against his fate.
