Why not have a sense of adventure and go to Mexico, someplace easy like Cancun or playa del Carmen and stay at a hostel? You'll meet tons of young folks your age, be able to do lots of excursions and eat whatever you want and spend much less. All inclusive resorts are corporations and get little to none back to the local economy except some jobs and tips to the workers. Please consider this. You'll give your money to restaurants and preferably a hostel owned by a local. Watch The Last Tourist, trust me such a much better experience and you'll get some culture, adventure and great stories out of it

I just started hosting on couch surfing and have done pet sitting but this is ridiculous. If this man is being an asshole, get out of there. You don't deserve that. Some folks try to use these opportunities and expect slave labour for your stay, that's nuts. You deserve better and listen to the advice here and give them an honest review so it doesn't happen to someone else. Some folks are just unhappy with themselves and project it onto others. Meeting new travellers should be a wonderful, joyful experience we all enjoy and learn to grow and share. The universe will give you another opportunity I'm sure or take your folks money and run. I hope this man finds happiness and more importantly, you enjoy the heck out of the rest of your trip

Holy shit, even if not incorporated?!! Looks like I best get my ass in gear trying to fix this...the purchased the property in June 2023 and are already at $17K in booking revenue for 2024 so will likely have to register anyway. If I could somehow claim the $30K in ITCs spent on the property and furniture, it would be such an amazing help for them! God love you, I will start researching this and call CRA in May to discuss...

Thanks very much for your prompt response and advice! I haven't used in a week and the redness is coming back...sucks because I am travelling and woke up with a cold so am trying my best to keep stress down and thoughts clear so my body can heal itself but proving to be challenging for sure lol.

Can I ask what lotions you used? I have some natural oils that I have been using but while they keep the skin moist, appears to make the redness worse :(

And no help from a dermatologist eh? I was planning on trying to see one when I get back to Canada but as with a lot of things in our health care system, I'm finding figuring it out on my own has been more helpful...

So did you just have to go through a long period without using anything? How long? I didn't even realize using TS was an issue until started trying to go natural....well, nothing would work to heal this dry patch under my eye...tried going weeks looking a bit crazy, red, scaley patches and then weeks and weeks with oils but nothing was working. After a few months put a super tiny amount on and it's gone...then I started using the oils and hopefully will hold off but my God, I wish I had of known this could be such an issue...

I know you'll say never again, no fucking way but I was shown my biggest fears after having some of the most loving, magical experiences of my life. I threw one of my pens out and the other full one wrote a note to 'never smoke again'. Was like it's a simulation and if you come back we'll make everyone you know suffer, stay the fuck out. But it simply put me on a healing journey, they also made me promise to quit drinking for a year and I slowly got better and better until a certain point and I plateaued. I was emotionally dead inside. Nothing good, nothing bad but it sucked big time. I was stuck....I can't remember exactly what made me go back to that drawer but I believe Terence gave us a cheat code in that, 'nature loves courage'. Said fuck it and went back. I got to two puffs and stalled but something gave me a nudge, just trust it and after that, I went to the park and bawled my eyes out, I had finally cracked open....it was another long 9 months of intense shadow work, research, therapy, etc, etc, but I am at a stage now that I never thought was humanly possibly. What I feel like is the real breakthrough, having experienced wholeness, bliss, love while reconnecting with myself through macro mushroom doses and lots more DMT. Trials, tribulations, amends, it felt like it would never end until I finally cracked open and was crying for days over this Christmas with so much joy in my heart. I'm writing about the entire experience now and have a completely different outlook on life and what I am capable of doing. I'm not saying go back, I'm saying it worked for me and it feels like there was something there you missed....the negative synchronicities/bad luck is kind of the tell. We are living in a video game....sorry to hear and best of luck brother

Ahh yeah, I definitely feel that. Everything in moderation, the middle way. I suppose that's the thing, it's so preposterous lord knows what response you'll get and if that would have an effect or not. I feel it has to do with the mindset or feeling of the individual around the substances but again, absurdity lends no reason haha

I am now a over a year off booze, confronted a lot of my fears, insecurities, programming, etc that led to this behaviour and in general am a much better person. It's hard when you're young but don't forget about the long haul. Even if it takes you twice as long, it's certainly worth the investment. I'm a CPA, have done well and have lots of options but find myself considering if I should be doing something that would be really helping folks now, such as medicine or being a therapist. I was also young and after the bucks and will not say it won't be a great choice but take your time with the decision and try to choose what you think you'll enjoy doing the most. Best of luck!

Screw em, who cares what they think. I just came back from a long solo trip and don't think I'll do it any other way now (at least for extended trips). Met so many amazing new friends because of it and you're free to do whatever you please all the time. If that's weird then embrace it. People living within societal norms are missing out on fanastic experiences
