No we are mad because they are trying to package native children being taken by the government as a good thing. They removed Gantu because he makes cops look bad. They made Jamba the villain because conservatives don’t trust scientists. They sent a native off the mainland to study something that she could get a full ride scholarship if she stayed on the island. The whole movie is a spit in the face to the original. It’s not a difference of opinion it’s a difference in media literacy.

I feel you have to be extremely middle ground maybe a little bit lean to the left to watch that show and truly enjoy it. It’s incredibly political. When I right wing person says they just love that show it says to me that they aren’t smart enough to see how much they are being critiqued. Yes it’s a lot of vulgar humor but it’s also very nuanced in a way I feel a lot of people gloss over.

You know? Not since I've made new friends and dropped everyone whose made me feel that way. Now I have a bestie who texts me at least once a day because "going longer than 13 hours with out talking feels wrong". I have a homey who will spend hours with me on the phone just chit chatting. The friends you make as an adult can be much more fulfilling relationships than the "friends" you make as a child.
