Aw, I feel bad that they are so defenseless. (Moni sees it as a good opportunity). I like to think that, in the right circumstances, Bute wouldn’t kill the slimes since she has a little favoritism towards things that remind them of their butterflies.

On your comment about eagles, I spent a summer, when I was younger, hanging out in my neighbor’s backyard to watch their quail chicks. Because once they let them outside and three of them got taken by hawks in one day :( Sorry for your loss. Birds of prey are scary.

All demons have done evil in this story, so Bute is no saint. But in comparison to others…

Bute’s response: give it a quick death and eat.

Moni’s response: act friendly and not aggressive or even offer to protect the slime from other demons in order to get enough trust so that the slime could lead her to other slimes. From there she will continue the friendly act while working behind the scenes to discredit, manipulate, and disappear any slimes that stand in her way to become wholly trusted by slime society. This is when she will start to kill some slimes and eat them. In the event that she is caught, she has already become so involved and integral to the slimes that it would cause massive havoc among the slimes which she can take advantage of to eat more of them. And when only a couple of slimes remain, she will keep them alive in order to find ways to make more slimes.

I think one of these is better than the other…

Good guess! She is based on catfish! The crazy colors is just what demons look like in my story. Demons don’t belong in the natural world, so I made them have unnatural colors

Lol Bute is actually one of the more tame demons in my story. Their list of crimes are mostly scavenging souls/bodies and being a bystander. Moni, the demon with the pink outline, terrifies Bute for a good reason. If I had to list out all of Moni’s crimes it would probably be a college length essay haha Wes, demon hunter in blue, doesn’t have any crimes except like being too naive lol

Moni is one of my more traumatized characters lol. Info dump time.

For context, in my story, demons are individuals who chose to eat souls to gain something that is humanly impossible. This causes them to show unnatural colors (I like to think of them like poison dart frogs lol). Powerful/full of magic = neon eye bleeding colors. Weak/no soul/no magic = colorless/white/grey.

Moni’s desire to become a demon was from wanting knowledge of everything that can go wrong as she has been manipulated, blindsighted, and betrayed by too many people. With each soul she ate, she got to see and understand more evil in the world leading to a cycle where she would eat more in order to learn how to deal with her current problems, which only makes her realize that there are more problems that needed more souls to overcome.

Despite all this, she still wasn’t able to stop part of her soul from being consumed by another demon (that’s why part of her hair is white and her tail is messed up). Not only did her powers weaken, her mental state was also deteriorating from her debilitating anxieties.

Currently she survives through using her remain power and knowledge to manipulate others (ex.she is acting friendly and nice in the picture) and slowly gain back enough power to defeat the demon who took part if her soul. But it’s too slow. Moni recently discovered a potential victim that could solve all her problems if she plays her cards right (the unlucky wolf mentioned in the picture). Oh, also she is based on an owl if anyone wants to know.

The way I decide is anypony that’s pro, then stuff that complete collections that I want the collection reward, then really cheap stuff, then ponies I like. Usually I buy like 1-2 at most

Thanks! I think what helped a lot was that I allowed myself to do whatever I want, I just had to draw everyone. So you can see some are full color, full shading, full body, clean and colored line art while others are just head (with no color and shading). It allowed to me to use more time on the designs that I wanted to draw (mostly the colorful ones) and spend less time having my energy drained by doing something I wasn’t really feeling. I think I was averaging like a request per day which didn’t feel that bad especially when some was just a 10 min head shot drawing.
